This is, and i say this havin connected a ton with many of your songs; this is def the one thats hit the closest to home ever I wasnt at all expectin how hard it wud hit, and this line at 1:35 in particular just felt so much like word given form to a feelin i cudnt encapsulate before "The butterflies have no room to fly, they suffocate; what's love in a cage?" - This describes my emotions in many a past relationship before the current one im in; where i feel truly safe and loved and safe to be able to love as well Whereas before in the past, my emotions all had to be kept in all the time thru my childhood; so even when i got with ppl who loved me, the butterflies cudnt fly... I cudnt risk feelin anythin for them, i cudnt risk bein seen, i cudnt risk livin And inevitably in many a past relationship of mine it ended bcuz i was either too detached for the person, or they saw my emotions get the best of me when allowed out; when i let the guard slip... When i became a monster, bcuz i had all those feelings trapped inside, and they just wanted to be felt Theres sm guilt. Over not bein able to push myself down, at the end result of tryin to push myself down. And it takes sm active effort to unlearn that demand to suffocate the butterflies... This is hands down your song that has most connected with me ever, and i say this again havin connected sm with sm of your songs; this ones just like its talkin to my hurt inner child, in a much more real way

Yet another fantastic song, and i feel with sm of it; from a particularly toxic relationship i had where i was unicorn hunted by a couple who id thowt actually cared for me This was a half decade ago now, and ive done a lot of growin and learnin what i deserved and how wrong things were in that relationship; and ive had a wonderful relationship since then with a far better polycule and awesome ppl aplenty in my life now :3 Some of the lines that rly hit hard here to me are the "you only needed me like food", "am i better off alone", and ofc "did you need me too?". That one sidedness of it that makes it like nothin to them, just another day in their life; but leaves us feelin so hurt we feel we cant risk to trust again It is worth trustin again ofc, but it can take time to get there. Id honestly given up on intimate relationships after that abusive relationship i exped, but then my now fiance (he/they) admitted a crush to me after we had opened up and talked about shared kinks, and he asked if i wanted them to be my sugar mommy. But if id not been in a place to at least open up about myself, i nvr wudve ended up in the awesome dream come true im livin in today :3
