Coach, all I’m going to say is…DIPS are squats for the upper body.

Would be great to get a video on how to deal with taller opponents who know how to utilise their range! I struggle a lot in sparring with taller opponents (which is quite often), especially those who are good boxers! Thank you 🙏

I don't really understand how to kick. Is it more a front kick with a turn of the hips at the end or does the kick come more from the side? It looks more as front kick with turning hips in your video I als aee tht one people are not stretching the foot to much. They make it like a low kick. Bu a ehe end here are many techniques and ost important is turning the hip

I have a 17 year old son, I've been teaching him Muay Thai since he was about 5 years old. When he got into high school he started doing sports and school was busy, so he drifted away from it. Even though he may practice anymore, he still remembers the fundamentals. He also did jiu jitsu for 5 years.

Beautiful. More good stuff. A couple of quick points for our community. Affirmations great. Come up with your own personal mantra. When you need to focus or you’re anxious, constantly repeat your mantra. This will crowd out negative thoughts in your mind. When you verbalize your mantra/affirmation, it actually makes it ten times more effective, believe me, it’s true. Anyone training seriously (which is all of us) or a have a fight coming up, consider reading George St.-Pierre’s book, The Way of the Fight. It’s awesome. I bought several copies for my gym back in the day. Tabernacle !

This was excellent. I’ve got a kickboxing fight in two weeks and have been doing lots of introspection to become aware of my doubts that may pop up here and there and positive affirmations, like y’all said. My only “concern” that comes to mind is freezing up or analysis paralysis. Got any advice for that? Or will training consistently and hard fix that too?

Aye Coach Is It Normal For my ankle to be hurting while kicking the heavy bag??
@PuffyPeppa42010 сағат бұрын
Not really man, you might be making contact too low on your shin. Think about it like the low top Nike socks, they go just above your ankle bone. Anything above the end of that sock above the ankle is good. You wanna be putting your middle shin on the bag, that's the strongest part of your shin. If you're landing with low ankle/foot you risk breaking your foot, hyper extending your foot etc.
@PuffyPeppa42010 сағат бұрын
if anything your shins should be hurting/sore or bruised up, avoid using the foot, when you get into sparring or fighting if you make contact with your foot on someones bones it's gonna suck really bad lol
