I think both Randy Savage & especially Lanny Poffo learned there ring psychology off of both (The Great) Boris Melinko & Pual (The Golden Boy). Christy who were in my book the 2 greatest professional wrestling ring psychologist of all time & even though Randy was much more talented then Lanny Lanny had better ring psychology than Randy did aka The Genius

For those of us that have watched wrestling for years, think about all of the NON-wrestlers that you’ve ever seen in the ring, from Jim Ross to Vince to even someone like Eric Bishoff at times…those literally are the worst working punches I’ve ever seen. Forget about talent and athleticism, was he even trained properly??

Bobby Shane was killed in the same plane crash that ended the careers of Buddy Colt and Gary Hart. Also on that plane was a young wrestler named Mike McCord who would later gain even more fame as Austin Idol.

Bubby Roberts did have the best ring psychology out of the 3 original Fabolous Freebirds but he was the least talented of of the 3 with Terry (Bam Bam) Gordy being the most talented out of the 3 & Michael PS Hayes being the best talker than later in late1990 to early1991 I believe🤔 but I might be a bit off? Jimmy (Jam) Garvin joined the new Freebirds Tag Team in WCW so there is 4 all together

Horrible from start to finish. That "black mat star" was out of breath after 40 seconds. They looked like two guys they had just found at the liquor store and offered to buy them a bottle of mad dog 20/20 if they got in the ring. He pinned him down like he was his prison cellmate. Oh well, atleast they weren't as bad as George Gulas.

When Ric Flair was the traveling NWA champion he always elevated other promotions and always made their top babyfaces look great but still left town with the title. Ric Flair was the GOAT especially in the 80's

I grew up in Durham NC and in the 80's WCCW was my second favorite wrestling promotion right behind NWA Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling. WCCW was loaded with talent and always had great storylines. They were at their best from 1980 till 1985 or so. It all went downhill when David Von Erich passed away.

This was right after the 1979 Knoxville Wrestling War. Bob Roop, Ron Wright, Bob Orton Jr., Ronnie Garvin, and Dean Malenko tried to take over the territory from Ron Fuller. Ron Wright was the only one that had a legitimate claim because he bought a part of the territory once before and then the Fullers came in and took over. The 1979 Wrestling War killed off wrestling in east Tennessee for years. The Poffos took advantage of the situation and moved in and ran some outlaw shows. The guys that were with Ron Wright were labelled as outlaws for years and had to work with the Poffos. The Poffos were proud to be outlaws and ran opposition to everyone. They didn't really last long in the area either. Wrestling didn't come back strong in east Tennessee until Ron Fuller brought in Continental Wrestling in about 1986.
