My car doesn't release the cable when fully charged and in that case, the end charging is not showing on the screen either. To get the cable to release, I have to start charging again (i.e. by raising the charging cap) and then the end charging starts showing. What am I missing? You say in the video that the cable can just be pulled out when fully charged, so what am I missing?

I believe I'm hearing wind noises from my lynk n Co at low speeds as well. It's like a whining/singing windy kind of noise. It's a bit annoying.

Can you try. Isolating the power from the charger? Does it allow you to remove the cable/plug then? Home chargers in au need an isolated next to the load so this might solve this annoyance?

Its not a bug, nor an issue. Had a physical button in the charging trap on my previous C40. Was great.

Looks like this car has nothing in common with previous models (not developed fully in China) - XC60 Recharge once unlocked always unlocks the charge port, you can take it out and drive away. Only if you keep the car unlocked for longer period of time without turning on the ignition does the port re-lock and charging continues...

Imagin having that button on the car, and you leave the car unsupervised when charging, lesser people would push that button just to prank you.🤣 I just use the App if i need it to stop charging.

Pausing the charge Everytime you open the door is not so convenient. This is the way Skoda Citigo does and it's really annoying too because too many times you close your doors and then you remember your laptop is still on the back seat... And there's no way to take it without stopping the charging that has just been started. Of this happens to a public charging station, sometimes they stop the charge at all and you need to use their app to unplug the cable, select again the station and plug the cable. Much more annoying than push a button on the tablet. If EX30 leaves you to unplug immediately after unlocking the door as soon as you reached the charging level desired (for example 80%), I think it's fine. Thanks for your video, it's very useful to know how to handle things like this in advance and not for the 1st time in an emergency situation (these are the typical tricks no car seller thinks to talk about before handing you the keys)

You can stop charging with the use of your app! Also lock and unlock the car in the near future your phone will replace your keyfob!

You're right that having a button near the charging port would be a lot more convenient, but it's not much of a surprise that there's no separate button for just this functionality. The EX30 is all about cost cutting (others would call it "simplicity") and merging functionalities. They eleminated almost all buttons from the cockpit and moved allmost all controls onto the screen. Let me put it this way: it'd have been a great surprise if they made an exception for the charge control.

I don't get Volvo... Add a HUD, move the rear seats back a foot and you're good to go. Why do such obvious stupid things to ruin a cool SUV?

EV's of all makes have pedestrian alarm sounds that go off when you reach a certain speeds. My VW ID.4 does this until it reaches 19 mph.

I guess volume for locking is fine if car is used in the city. Although volume adjustment would be better.

I rented it once and it was the worst car i've ever driven. Really really horrible infotainment system. For example: I got a call from my boss. He couldn't hear me, i couldn't hear him. I parked the car, got out, closed it, waited 1 min and then started the infotainment system again. Then it didn't even recognize my phone anymore. No car play, no bluetooth. It forgot that my phone was paired and i couldn't pair it again. And it was not my phones fault - it worked flawless in other cars. It took forever to find anything and to load the profile. And one other thing: I tested the cruise control with lane assist in an other car. If i'm not holding the steering wheel, the car reminded my that i have to hold the wheel. It beeps, it beeps louder, it gently braked to wake my up, it strongly pulled the seatbelt to wake me up and than the car slowed down to a hold. In the Lynk & Co the car just told me, that i have to hold the steering wheel. Then it told me, that it deactivated the cruise control because i didn't hold the wheel. So the car just would let me die. Thanks mate

Maybe try reading the manual before you make up a malfunction that a mechanical part which functions to open the trunk “always stops at the same place” is due to “the cold”. Logically that doesn’t even make sense. Reset the automatic trunk height and then maybe take down this video.

Thanks for the video! Funny enough, I was driving mostly in electric mode and my 12V battery (the one in the trunk) ran out of juice. (It only charges when you drive with fuel and the fuel motor is running). When the 12V battery dies, you can no longer unlock your car or start it. I had to open the drivers door manually, then climb into the back seat, then manually flip the back seats and open the trunk via the handle in the trunk manually as well.

Hi, the key is not made of metal. There is also plastic under the thin layer. I can say it for sure. I have seen very used keys already. Thanks for the tip about the charging socket by pressing 4x the remote
