I tried importing a PDF to markup drawings and my markups are very pixeled. Do you have any suggestions are tips on how to show markups to be clean and crisp?

Please note, the line resolution is the same for all drawing apps and is based on the device itself. However, Trace allows unrestricted zooming so you can zoom in closer and see the pixels more than other apps. You will notice most drawing apps restrict your zoom level so you do not notice it. If you want higher resolution while zooming in simply zoom in to the area you are drawing in and add a new layer. As long as you draw on that new zoomed in layer, you will see improved resolution.

You can add a title block when you export your drawing. Just select the "Layers" option and then toggle "Title Block" on.

is it possible to copy an image layer and paste it on another layer? I have a lot of image layers and i want to tidy things up and merge them all

Yes! You can create a RoomPlan project on your iPhone and then share the project to your iPad to draw on top of.

Absolutely mind blown at the simplicity yet the skill ……… you should see the scribble scrabble I did yesterday before looking this video up 🤣 17 more days on the trial I’m hoping I can get to this level or something close by time my trial ends cause I honestly need this skill to further my career

You use the Lasso tool to duplicate any drawing, including stencil drawings.

Please Help! Smart fill is not working as it shoud be. I made one hatch whith the target then, it does not reeds the area inside the lines, the hatch fill all the page. I tried to select closed areas from the pdf, i drew closed areas but nothing works. Seems like some bug in the tool.

we're working on an update that will auto-adjust the thickness with the size slider. You can always override the text to remove the units if you'd like as well.

So I just zoomed in and created a layer, like they did in this video. Then tapped the 3 dots of the new layer, then tapped "scale and place" and resized the layer to fit my page using the transform tools. Worked fine 👍

Superb stuff - and was really hoping for this feature. Not sure if you can recommend an image generator but that would be useful. Also, I find the lift function a little touchy with some things. Nonetheless an excellent feature, and well-taught Cheers

Thanks Dan! We used midjourney to generate all the images and textures you see in these collages. It took some time to get exactly what we wanted but it did work! Agreed that lift sometimes needs some cleanup - which you can now do in Trace with your erase and selection tools as needed. Hopefully Apple keeps improving this technology!

Question: When applying the same plant stencil at different scales I find the line thickens when I make it bigger (wider plant). This makes for inconsistent line weight for my plant material. I like to keep thicker lines for taller or structural plants. And thinner lines for ground covers. But if I attempt to use the same stencil for both scales the line weight varies significantly, making it inconsistent. Is there a way around this? Can you control the thickness of a line stencil?

Ok but can I add a pdf into this combined pdf drawing stack? Lets say I have combined my pdfs and taken them to my iPad and into morpholio, but one of the pdfs gets updated… how do I add this updated pdf in?
