I've been trying to use this for more than a year and noticed that while the 'now' function to send data at this moment does work, the scheduling, event change and form submit functionality does not work. It works for a moment when you try to set it up, then it stops working. I have tested in many sheets over a long period of time and the result is always the same, my data is not being sent to the webhook and when I go into google sheets to check the Trigger & Send configuration, it has 'forgotten' any configuration I may have made, it does not remember any webhooks you may have entered in the past. I guess you get what you pay for, seeing as this is a free tool, you also recieve nothing when you use it. That is a shame as it would be a useful functionality.

Hi how does the message arrive the slack app from the slack server. is that also a webhook? or is that a normal api pollling?

That's also done with webhook- When you will create APP in Webhook and enable Interactivity, it will ask you to provide URL to send messages.

Yes, there are two webhooks: Incoming webhook: to get data from any third party source to Slack channel. outgoing webhook: To send slack messages from channel to any webhook url. What's your use-case? We can help you in building. let's connect to [email protected]

@@viasocket Noo i am sorry if i am confusing you.. ignore the outgoing message part. I am asking if there are two wehbooks involved in senting messages to my slack channel from a third party application. To be very clear : 1. The third party application uses my slack channels webhook to send message 2. This message then arrives on the slack server. 3. Now how does the slack application running on my laptop IMMEdiately display this new message ? I am asking if thats also some webhook. Or the slack app keeps polling for new messages every second on the slack server?

@@okey1317 yes. that's because of Slack APIs or webhook Slack support both protocols to receive a message from any third-party app to slack. it depends on how your third-party application is sending messages to your slack channel. this is how slack notifications work: 1. you authorize an app to get notifications, that app installs in your slack workplace and keeps sending you slack alerts. (using APIs and your tokens) 2. You build an app that allows you to generate a webhook for every channel (It can be incoming or outgoing both. Slack call both protocol a webhook)

Hi, I just installed Trigger and send but my challenge is in schedule Trigger. I would have loved to schedule mine to run on certain days and at certain hours e.g Mondays and Fridays by 8am

did you solve it? i was trying with integrately but i don't receive much information, i just receive the row that was changed. So no information to identify the row that was updated.

Trigger & Send just send data on webhook URL and then you have to re-use that data for any other services. We suggest you to use Viasocket.com URL to receive the data and then forward that data to any third-party tool like email, SMS, Trello etc.
