I will never get over the magic, beauty and sadness in his voice. This uniqueness made him such an amazing artist. I hope he knew how wonderful and talented he was. Doug supernaw you left us way too soon.

The live version is absolute garbage! This should be on Spotify since it's the original version!

This is the song i saw on CMT one night. I came running into the room wondering who this was. That started my love for country music. Bought CD shortly after that. I love almost all country now.

Hey man, thanks for posting this. For some reason I did a deep dive on this song and wanted to hear this cover. Such a good tune. Buffet's is best IMHO, but this one is pretty good. Glad I got to hear it.

Just a few good dudes from Philadelphia, MS. Music was great, but the timing was bad. Record label flops, no promotion from record company, etc. Sure wish they'd made it big.

I believe this song got banned from some Country stations back in the day, since it was about a guy stalking a woman. Great and very catchy tune though. Thanks for the upload! Haven't heard it in years 👍🏻

Ha, cool to know that many came here after Marty Raybon's comments on the song during the Bobby Bones interview, lol. I actually like the song, though I'm also biased because my mom gave me this album on cassette when I was little. I can see why they didn't like it though since it's more pop leaning than the music they'd be more well known for on the next two albums. I personally like the 80s country pop sound, though, and the nostalgia theme for the 50s and 60s, which was common for the 80s. I especially like the cool "shooby do wah" doo wop vocals from the backup singers in the intro.
