I know this videos old but just so you know the pants and jacket that you called crust wouldn't technically be crust unless there is crust punk bands on them! they're just called patch pants otherwise and typically jackets with patches everywhere r called battle jackets and are also used in the metal scene! (this was not in bad taste btw just wanted to inform you because some people are really defensive over the term crust pants(: )

I don’t think my parents would get mad, because my mom said she doesn’t have to like what I wear. I mean she has to like it to an extent but as long as I’m not wearing anything too revealing I won’t have any problem with my parents. My problem is testing the waters. Seeing how alt I can go before they tell me to change or take something off. Like I’m worried that they might tell me to take off my eyeliner if I try to wear it in front of them.

Currently i live with my strict ahh grandparents (due to family issues) and they're really strict christians, they dislike when i wear anything even slightly alternative or not "normal." I might be able to move in with my mom at some point, my mom had an emo or alt phase so I know she wouldn't care (plus we both are kinda emo), but i want to be able to at least have some form of alt fashion to express myself in my current home. thank you so much, Rayne! I too gained (a bunch) of weight the last couple years (a lot due to medical probs), so next to nothing in my closet fits. I've picked up some stuff, but unfortunately am on a limited budget because I'm disabled. I think the biggest thing that's been a huge bummer is because of the amount of edema I have in my feet and ankles, NONE of my old shoes fit (okay a cheap pair of "winter" boots still fit, but it's not like I can wear them all year). I have a bunch of shoes and loved coordinating them to my outfits and it really bums me out that I can't do that anymore. I at least picked up a decent pair of boots from Hot Topic (the main store I shopped at way back in high school a couple decades ago lol, and the only place I could find that actually does decent returns online) so I'm able to inject some goth in my outfits. I found your channel a couple days ago while looking for ways to alter clothes and whatnot so I can pick up stuff from thrift stores. I'm glad you're in a better mental health state, and keep up the awesome work helping others!
