With my 1400 Eldorado, i have adjusted the valve position both ways. Moving the valves by turning the back tire and by putting the bike in neutral and turning the engine over with a socket on the front of the engine. I so much prefer using the socket as my eyes are just a few inches away from the valves. Also, i don't have to jack up the back tire. Nice to know if while one is touring and can be done easily from camp.

I don't know about the Stelvio, but on my 1400 Eldorado i put the shifter in neutral. On the front of the engine is a rubber plug which i remove. On my bike it's between the horns. I then put a socket on the alternator bolt and turn. It beats turning the back tire.

Letting the reservoir drain to empty is just asking for trouble. It will let air into the system. Keep the fluid level up as it's draining from the bleeder. Same as bleeding brakes. Air is the enemy.

It's worth noting, the 10,00km (6000mile) service interval is 'hard wired' in the memory. So if you do the reset before (or after) it's reached the mileage, it will come on again at each interval (10,000km, 20,000km, 30,000km, and so on).

I've Bought an used ECU, and I don't know the cod at all, how can I reset to a new Cod ?
@Docv400
@Docv400 Жыл бұрын
It's nothing to do with the ECU Aaron. You can buy any 5AM ECU with 'HW610' on the label, and it will work, as long as you load an appropriate Map, via GuzziDiag. You *do* have GuzziDiag don't you? I'm running a used ECU from a Ducati on my Stelvio, several Ducati models use it. It's the Dash that has it's own Code, so you can't buy a used one and just fit it, you need to know the Code. Factory Code is 00000, but it could have been changed by the Dealer that sold the Bike originally, or by any of the previous owners.

Actually I think the exhaust valve is the front one Easier to see if you look at the whole bike the carb is on the cut away side the header points towards the front of the bike from the cylinder then loops around back

This problem does not exist on the Stelvio; this is a V11 issue. The symptom is very different in any case. You depress the start button, and the starter motor does not crank.

Zakaj tako slabo olje dajat not?

The problem with the video is the removal of the sump guard. My Stelvio has crash bars that protect the heads. This is integrated into the sum guard. To loosen this system off is a time consuming job but is the only way to remove the sump guard. An oil change turns into a big job for the Stelvio. Not as easy as it looks in the video .
