@ANewDawn144 correct, but mercy only comes under the law.... Edom was never under the covenant to have mercy.... the gospel is for the 1/3 of Israel we are not concerned with the 2/3rds

Your context of the bible is off... Mercy an grace comes only for israelites under the law. While the old covenant presented a system of laws, the concept of "mercy" and "grace" is still present within it, meaning that even though the covenant included rules to follow, Yahawahs merciful gracious nature was still evident in his dealings with israel; essentially, Yahawahs forgiveness and compassion were offered even when the israelites did not fully adhere to the law!!!...
