I will never buy from Craddock again. I bought vent flap seals for my Series III from them. The first day it hit 100F (I live in Texas) the adhesive weakened and they fell off. But that's not the problem. They said Land Rovers were from the UK, and thus weren't designed to be used in such a hot climate. So they refused to refund my money, which admittedly wasn't very much, but it was the principal of the thing. They could have had a customer for life if they had.

My dad and I bought our first Land Rover of Brad’s uncle, Hilton, in about 1989. Series IIA ex-army. Dad and I have been using KLR for all our Land Rovers and Range Rovers over the years. Brad, Matt and the team have always had the time , expertise and experience to solve every issue and/ or provide the correct advice. I would not trust anywhere else. Next thing for them will be my project Series III.

Hi Anthony. We run two types the Toyo Tires M/T’s in a 235/85 R16 and 7.50/16 Dunlop Off road grippers. As for tyre pressures, it depends on the terrain, on the highway 30 to 35 psi. Cheers Geoff

Geoff, not sure if you done anything on this before but would love to know more about the Series Landrover diesel 2.25, its strength's, weaknesses, rebuilding and its general performance v the petrol series Landrovers. haven't seen any side by side comparisons or tests and would love to know more about them. I had a S3 petrol, should never have sold it, but have seen a couple of nice diesels for sale and wanted to know more about them, particularly ones upgraded with a roamerdrive for more legs....love to hear your thoughts and perhaps a Seriously Series future special??? cheers in advance

What, no 33 inch muddies, no turbo diesel, no Performance chip, no 4 inch lift, no snorkel, how in the hell can you expect that old girl to go anywhere but the shops for a chiko roll and coke! Just goes to prove most just waste their hard earned on show and no go. Mr Beadell trail blazed most of the interior long before any tracks, he actually made them, surveying those tracks and making them in a basically standard SWB government Landrover standard wheels engine with a few changes, brush guards roof rack winch ect, all primitive by today’s standards. Thanks for your films, a wonderful source of nightly entertainment, no frills, no BS, no advertisements, just honest adventures. You won me. And what a great series 2 you have, nostalgia in spades. I might be lucky enough to actually own one in the future. All the best. Rob…

I know that in Australia in years gone by the series LR was competing with the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 in serious off-road applications. How can you compare the two as they are differently built and have different design features. What are the realistic / practical advantages of one over the other in the Australian outback environment?
@grancitodos7318Ай бұрын
So Australia has become a brainless nanny state with screw the people laws. Not all 4 wheel drives have a center diff, my 2a Landrover didn't, and my 3 4x4 GM trucks don't. You need to get educated, or find a different subject to comment on.
@seriouslyseriesaustralia26 күн бұрын

I have a series 3 with a holden 6 in it but the front cross member has been removed but I am not sure why as the engine would of cleared it, surely it wasn't done just to fit the old radiator back in. Do you know what radiator is fitted to yours as I can see the cross member is still installed.

Thanks for your thoughts. I run 265/75 R 16 on my 1960 109. They are on steel 16" x 8" - 4.25" Backspacing rims fitted with KM2's. I went with these rims to clear the Timm Cooper disc brake conversion. Works awesome! Tires have worn great with several trips to Nevada and the Mojave Desert.
