First heard this song on a phone commercial. Her last words were Thanks for downloading us tonight. I went Tower Records and asked someone if the song is real. He said probably. So I googled it. I guess the you can download songs from whatever phone they were advertising. The slogan was The Ring is Real, Baby.

I listened to this song countless times, over and over and over again several lifetimes ago in the early 2000s, and have come back to it so many times since then. You were with me through so many interesting times and adventures, Katy, and you never even knew it!! Thank you for accompanying me through life and for giving me something I needed, including giving voice and expression to my feelings and giving me a comfortable home wherever I could listen to you. This song was always solid and certain and clear for me even when seemingly everything else felt confusing. This transports me back two decades in time and to many stops between now and then. And I will always keep coming back here to this song in the future too, so you will keep accompanying me through this song, remaining a comfort to me no matter what will be coming ahead for me.

See a lot of comments about listening to this song while being depressed or remembering bad times and it's true it's a melancholic song but it's helpful. It doesn't encourage you to do something like try to commit suicide or do selfharm instead it helps you deal with those negative emotions (like crying while singing the lyrics) rather than to bottle it up. When you're depressed you don't want happy tunes but rather songs that help you feel less alone with your problems and this is one of those songs!❤

I love Katy Rose I honestly don’t like that she was written off as a wannabe of Avril and Ashlee. Her music even though I have never listened to PJ Harvey before the session at AOL video started the narrator said she thinks her Music is closer to sounded something like PJ Harvey’s verses Avril or Michelle Branch. I’ve listened to the CD I don’t know how many times this year alone but I hear more of a poetry sound in the lyrics verses how other artists sound. I like Avril and I like Michelle but I love Katy’s music due to the individuality sound in her music.

I love her music and Emmy Rossum’s because they didn’t want to sound like Avril, Britney, or Kelly Clarkson. There’s nothing wrong with those artists but they have a uniqueness about their music that I love.
