Edgy edgelord trash. Dude needs to seek therapy. Written by a 5th grader with aspirations to seek revenge

You’ve mentioned the use of cinematic visual language isn’t always your thing in comics, which I totally understand. I’m just curious if you had an example of a book or artist that utilized the mediums potential beyond that style? “The Stroll” by Dan Clowes is an example that came to my mind
@MichaelFitzTroyTV21 сағат бұрын
Haha. I think my opinion started probably with the ultimates always going for that cinematic feel. Minimalist dialogue, no thought ballons or sound effects. I’m not opposed to big dynamic art. Maybe I need to reassess my pov?
@CC______20 сағат бұрын
@ Oh I wouldn’t say that, I may have come off more critical than I meant to haha. Let me rephrase. I guess what I wanted to know is what “comic book’y”elements are most effective to you, and is there a book or artist you think uses them effectively?

I've been buying all the Amazing Spider-man facsimile editions, so I've been paying close attention to their releases. In a truly confusing move, Marvel did not publish facsimile editions for the first parts of this story. You haven't missed anything. This is a stand-alone facsimile edition issue.

The way they write dialog it makes you wonder if some of these writers have actual conversations with people at all. A lot of these books need to get back to show don't tell and cut down on the "slice of life" issues. Great review btw.

Thanks! I was afraid it was too harsh. But it’s just kind of pointless. You hit the nail on the head. It’s way too much slice of life. I read comcis to escape not watch them do the same shit I do every day.

Has the concept of Superman being solar powered been done like this before? Like a battery that gets depleted over time and needs to recharge. Feels like an obvious limitation to explore, surprised I we haven’t seen it done sooner. Weakest of the bunch but not a bad read, lots of potential. Thanks for the upload I’m enjoying your content lately!

You would think that it has been done given the nature of his power. I agree it’s got a lot of potential. I think it will get better once the focus is more on Kal.
