Spray the solution on don't dump it on like that. If you really love doing your own carpet buy a good portable carpet cleaning unit with a wand, not a shampoo machine.

The brush heads can be cleaned with hot soapy water in the sink or can be placed in the top rack of your dishwasher if you’d like to clean them that way. We also sell a six pack of replacement heads on our site if you prefer.

This stuff is awesome! Takes a little longer and a little extra elbow grease without the drill attachments but still works amazing!
