The rc receiver antenna is way too close to the vtx antennas. Hang it from the front. p.s. The best mountain-diver is the GepRC Pulsar 9". It's high disc loading makes it drop like a stone. It's large enough to get a big battery for like 20-min flight.
@flipsfpv
@flipsfpv 2 күн бұрын
@@mlentsch I have also thought about this, but the active end of the bard pole antenna is at 1/2 or 2/3 of the whole antenna length and the connection is very good and stable. Thanks for your recommendation of the GepRC Pulsar. I will have a look at it 👌🏼

@@flipsfpv p.s. I've been interested in that Y-6. How are you liking it? I'd think that it's not great for LR, more of a speed demon, but I've never tried one...
@flipsfpv
@flipsfpv Күн бұрын
@ HGLRC says it is for LR - I was skeptical too. I like the drone a lot and you can fly LR with it. The battery space is limited, but I think with a Li-ion battery you can go as far as with a 6" or 7" drone. The flight behavior is different from a quadcopter: very stable, especially when diving down a mountain. But definitively nothing you do rolls and stuff with 😅

Oh yeah the difference in weight wiuld explain it as technically the coaxial blade would actually be less efficient. My main thing would be does the Y6 actually fly with one of the motors disabled as thats supposed to be the main advantage of the coaxial design. Would love to see a test of this
@flipsfpv
@flipsfpv 3 күн бұрын
@@ugpfpv361 yes you are right, the coaxial design is less efficient than a regular hexacopter or quadcopter. I am not sure, if it will fly with one motor disabled. Once I had a frozen motor on one side and it didn’t behave well 😅 Perhaps I can make a controlled test 🤔

Very nice man, One question, how much range can you get with Tango 2 pro? When I am at 3km out, I have lower then 20 RSSI, I get rx lost. Are you able to fly further, also is it possible that there might be an issue? Or this is normal, because tbs suppose to be super ling range.
@flipsfpv
@flipsfpv 3 күн бұрын
Thank you! I have the Tango 2 (non pro) and can go further than 3kms. First "problem" can be the power output. In CE you are only allowed to use 25 or 100mW. The Tango 2 can output up to 1W = 1000mW. Normally 250mW is enough. I had some problems with my Nazgul and it's range at the beginning, but I changed the position of the Immortal-T antenna to not make contact with the frame. This gave me a lot more range. There a several possibilities that can affect your range... These are just a few examples. Today there is coming up a video here on my channel with a small part about antenna orientation. Perhaps this can help you, too. Cheers!

Very good video. I am planing to purchase one. and add O4 pro unit to it. Hope to achive 10km range with it wothout go pro. Is it susceptible to winds? Or does it have enough power and weight to still be satble?
@flipsfpv
@flipsfpv 7 күн бұрын
Thank you! That's a good idea to convert to the O4 here. With little weight, e.g. without GoPro, the flight times are very long. I haven't yet flown with the Rekon Y6 in stronger winds. However, it feels more stable than my other drones when diving down the mountains. In headwinds, however, I have the impression that I have to give a lot more throttle. I think the drone is just as wind stable as other 7” drones.

@iamagob sure, no problem. The Nazgul F5D is my all-in-one drone with good flight times and great flight characteristics. It is very agile and easy to fly.
