Whatever Zappa was he wasn't a guitar virtuoso. He himself said that. Steve Vai who played for him was but Frank said he was competent at best at guitar. But that doesn't take away from what he's done.

I saw them about 20 or 25 years ago at Mulchay's in Wantagh Long Island. They had their sound guy there, and the band just sounded absolutely amazing. As soon as I stepped outside onto the street to go home, I had a high pitch ring in my ears that just would not go away for over a day😅😅😅. I'm so glad I got to see them😊😊

The Summer Jam at Watkins Glen was a July 1973 rock festival outside Watkins Glen, New York, that featured the Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead and the Band. 600,000 people. Double the size of Woodstock. I had a great time.
