The more of your videos I see the less I will ever own a horse when we win the lottery. It seems horses are as dangerous as motorcycles.

Build trust

Why are you working with him next to a steel trailer. I get green horses to trust me within an hour and picking up their feet,, to trim them. Oftentimes the horses are scared and they have fever foot. Which is just about anything that bothers her feet is going to cause fever in their feet. Usually it's white Lyme disease is getting bad,, along with these overgrown hooves you see. If the horse doesn't trust your hand,, he won't want you picking up his back feet. I think you missed some gentling points before reaching into these nether regions. When I'm done with horses, especially neglected or abused horses full of fear, they don't want me to leave.
@b1horsemanship4 күн бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching! Whats wrong with working at the trailer? He's not tied hard and fast to it and if he wants to pull back, he can without getting too far. It's as safe as any place. Never heard of fever foot, but I've never had foot issues create kicking problems, but then again, I haven't seen everything.🙂. How do your horses look when you first get going with them? How about a horse like the one in the video? Would it help if we only show the end result or is it the process that has real value?

It don't matter which hand the lead rope is in. But the lead rope is shorter in the left hand.

Seriously. And you see how he unnecessarily ranks the reign for the horse merely tending to something that was bothering it. The instruction he was giving wasn't encumbered by the horse moving his head ffs. It's a dominionist attitude. Cowboying can be very cruel.
@huntercorrales67945 күн бұрын
If the horse didn't want to be there and was in pain the horse would be kicking and biting, some cowboys can make the headstall too short and it pulls the side of the mouth up that's called too much smile but this guy looks fine, horses will make it known when they are in pain this horse looks fine just bored
@lauraduffy90555 күн бұрын
@@NonyaSmith I noticed the same thing. There was a callousness there. Sad.
@b1horsemanship4 күн бұрын
Sorry, but I don't see the cruelty here. The horse is wearing a saddle for the first time and got distracted by it so I redirected his attention. No big deal and he's not in pain. Heck, he's actually very comfortable.

I'd have to agree! Never have liked having 2 wraps, but when I rope, I almost always do because I think it gives a little more strength to connecting point at the riggin.

This applies to all domestic animals. People so often think of an animal in human being terms. This is a horse, this is a cow, this is a dog or a mule, not a person. Good advice sir.
