I prefer the album version. This sounds rushed. Spoils a beautiful song.

Whenever times are difficult, I listen to this song. For a few minutes, my worries disappear. I appreciate those moments.

Why does the background music remind me of Silver Moon by David Sylvian.

I'm still amazed at how much these lyrics are gripping the very existence we live in today. Quite scary on a lot of levels. 1/24 and 63 years old still enjoying The Call

Late chiming in, lol apologies. The walls of Jericho, some twenty foot thick in places, as the congregation of Israel walked around it and those inside Jericho stood on the walls laughing at them. Reread the Biblical story... blowing horns, shouting together as one, ... and consider the science e we know today of sound waves. Fascinating study as you read the Biblical account with that in mind.

I bought this when it came out being a huge fan of BeBop. Forward, I have listened to this album thousands of times. I have roughly 7000 Cd"s, a couple thousand cassettes and many lps,.. this ranks in my top ten.

Sadly Yukihiro Takahashi who did a lot of drumming and programming for Bill around this time passed away last month aged 70. Founder member of Yellow Magic Orchestra, incredibly good drummer, friend to Bill and a very sweet guy. I'll really miss him.

Listen to this on 0.75 playback speed. The strumming echo/reverb is heavenly, and the choral interplay is (even more) mesmerizing.
