It's been such a long time, I'm really not sure how long it took me to get it. I would turn my 3ds off after each session. I don't think it took me too too long though. I'm gonna guess a couple of weeks on and off? At that time I didn't have much to do, so I shiny hunted for most of the day. lol

Actually, one of my first posted videos is of me getting shiny treecko through masuda method. But yes, it's a personal preference. I enjoy getting shinies everyway, personally, but at the same time I feel like the most rewarding and the most exciting is to do it full odds. It's very exciting to know that I got this shiny treecko through soft resets at the beginning of the game and he will be with me the whole journey of the game. That's what I feel at least and everyone is entitled to feel whichever way they want about it. :)
