The Tudor version is also a Homage, at least the shape/design. Even the Rolex submariner is possibly a "copy" or homage of the Squale Blancpain, as they claim they came out with that design before Rolex did. My point is that at the end of the day is all about the brand, we perceive a Swiss brand better than an Asian one. And we want to show off, basiclally. But is a fact all brands copy each other in a way. Notice that almost every single brand has their own Diver watch... And all of them look pretty much the same.

I recently shopped a Rokex date Submariner. It was $9,000. I liked it but didn't buy it because it doesn't look much different than my Pagani Design homage of the Rolex date Submariner. I have about $4,000 worth of homages. 42 watches homaged after Patek, A.P., Rolex, RM, and Tudor. I've decided to never buy a "real" version of the watches my homages represent. I have better things to do with my money.

Not being a big head myself but I own 3 Rolex watches and have been scared to wear them noticeably outdoors… now I have multiple San Martin’s, Cronos and Octopus watches I switch them day to day and enjoy them even more and don’t have a fear of losing a few hundred quid as opposed to tens of thousands

It is using a Sellita movement which is nowhere near high quality ETA movement. Why can't Tudor make its own movements? They have been around for a pretty long time. Nice video bro.

People seem to forget that Tudor was initially often called "The poor man's Rolex" -not to say that it is- but most Tudor designs were homaging Rolex designs like This model which was inspired by Rolex explorer ll. So, when speaking of originality you should first know what Tudor was all about first cuz definitely they were homaging Rolex in ghe first place 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bingo. That is the reason I won’t buy a San Martin or any ripoff. It will just remind me that I can’t afford the original. San Martin seems to have their QC covered, now they just need to invest more on getting original designs.

I have MAAANY Casios but, I received the A158W in a mail delivery two days ago and it has absolutely become My new favorite watch especially digital watch despite being smaller it looks bigger and wears larger thanks to the great stainless steel bracelet. It's so lightweight I often have to look down to ensure it's still there and never requires adjusting the band for sleeping and like every Casio ever I can legitimately confirm that the Water Resistant rating is totally bogus, it is absolutely 100 percent waterproof, best $22.00 I've ever spent on all the watches in My large collection. Casio is king. 🤗❤️👍👍👍

EVERY dive watch after the Fifty Fathoms (perhaps even the Submariner) is a homage. Buy what you like and can afford. I have ‘original’ design watches and homages. After wearing the homages, I have no desire to purchase its ‘original’ Swiss version. Not that the homage scratched the itch…I just didn’t desire that form as much as I thought I would. Therefore, I didn’t make a $5,000 mistake. Also, don’t fall prey to the Swiss brands’ marketing. Don’t be convinced that a “luxury” Swiss watch is the only watch worth having. Remember, they are just corporations looking to transfer your money into their money…just like the Chinese brands! 😂

So…the Tudor marketing (brainwashing) has been effective on you! I’m not sure if the Tudor is 20 times better than the San Martin, but you do you.
