Missed a 4th option, the catch-up. When you're joining late in the game, you have to put in an insane level of game time and effort to get anywhere near to catching up with your guild. I agree with all the points offered in this video.

Hey guys, main dev of Echoes here! Just checked out this review of the game and very happy to get all the construcive criticism. Definitely noted for the future haha. Really happy to hear the visuals and audio worked so well for you here! Those were two of the biggest things I was concerned about with this game. Echoes of the Emergent was a side project that spun a bit out of control (the writing in particular was a consistent struggle in part because of the screen size, like you say), but one where I wanted to experiment quite a bit, so thanks for helping me find out which of those experiments ended up working and which maybe could use some work. Thanks so much!

I feel the most pretentious take you can have is to praise hl2 while putting halo down. Both are pillars upon which every fps since has been built upon. Combat evolved has one of the most replayable campaigns of any not just fps, but of any video game in general of the time. HL2 is also a gem, and showed what not only developers can do with story and game design, but also how creative the community can be when given tools to create.

Doesn’t change the fact that these design decisions are extremely disappointing. When they made DS2 they saw what made DS1 popular: bosses, deaths and so on, and flanderised the hell out of it. Now we have a literal death counter. Now we have bosses everywhere, even when it comes at the expense of quality: such as dragonrider, congregation and rats. Now the new feature is making bosses le hard, so what do they do? Right, they crank it to 11. Now everyone has 360 tracking, now every boss has just bizarre ammount of delay between attacks, now every move has to take up the whole screen. Fights just don’t feel fair, all these tricks the bosses pull on you are cheap and predictable. Rolling for 30 seconds until the designer-approved 2 second breather period arrives, so I can throw one swing in is not fun.

I am ashamed of thinking you guys were talking about Dr.Doom from the marvel franchise, I was like “when did Bethesda get a marvel contra-oooooh doom guy doom”

The game keeps booting me out. The DRM is truly an insult. Do you have any tips in order to fix this?

The story was just alright, dialogue was terrible, weapon durability and food crafting sucks, building is annoying and things break too fast for it to be fun. This game is not perfect by any means.

I'd say the only sandbox comparible to tears of the kingdom is possibly the Create Mod for Minecraft, but I agree with everything else, great vid
