Route tender cable on the left of battery where the solenoid switch. look down the back side of radiator. You should see the tender lead it will take a little maneuvering but you can get to the top of the radiator.

Can this be done on either side? Those plastic clips shows in the video, are they already attached or was that aftermarket? TIA
@JACKSGTS2 жыл бұрын
They are part of the fan cover. The reason I ran it on the left was that is the side most people step off the vehicle. For me when I feed the wire through it is easier.

Good video, Thanks. Should mention before you pull the brake reservoir up and out... there's that little black tube that comes out first. I ended up breaking my tabs cause I didn't know that.
@99shadows665 ай бұрын
That little black tube is nothing but a piece of 1/4 nylon air line tubing commonly used for airbag suspensions so I grabbed some 1/4 inch nylon air line tubing that I had lying around and cut a 4-inch length so I could easily remove and install it without cursing the engineers that used the short piece of tubing.

@jimwmcvey3 жыл бұрын
looks to me (and from another F3-T video i watched), that too many panels are removed here. it appears to need basically only left side panels, the tank cover and the air box removed to access the coil packs and plugs.... yes/no?? or was more maintenance done here than is shown?

also loosen the bracket that holds the ECU and move it aside. The plugs are accessible from the left (as you ride) side.

I recently ordered the 4500 lb. winch and mount. Usually pretty handy at following instructions and for the most part this seemed ok until opening up the package and installing the mounting plate that I discovered the nuts and bolts which were even sealed in a shrink wrap package didn't work for me (nor would they for anyone). Coarse threads one the nuts won't fit the threads on the bolts. Seems this would have been such a simple thing to notice beforehand. Now I have to go to the hardware store and purchase additional lock nuts and bolts that will fit the mounting plate. This delayed me into another day so not happy about that one.

When I run the rope out the bottom like it says in the book it is at a 90 degree angle to the front guide. Running off the top of the winch it is about a 20 degree angle. Does it hurt to have it spool from the top of the winch

Can’t tell where the wire come out of the battery box? Thanks
@JACKSGTS4 жыл бұрын
If you look above the + terminal there is a gap between the trunk and the frame. I slide it through that. Take a light and put it in front of battery you should be able to see it.
@JimGDMAC3 жыл бұрын
@@JACKSGTS The easy way to run the wires is to use a long flexible plastic rod which you can push through from the top right of the battery box. Tape the wire ends to the end of the rod then pull back into the battery box, the wires can then be removed and connected to the battery. PS the toolkit that comes with the RT is all you need to do this job.
