My favourite part of this entire scene is it is the climax of tony and eli's relationship during the season. When you realise the beginning of the season saw tony failing a protection detail. He never sees Tony's strengths until this scene. It is so layered because the only person on his side before this was Gibbs.

The mention of ari is probably the best part of this because it started the downfall of Director David's demeanor

In a way, it is sort of sad that Eli was killed off. He may not have liked Tony, but i think he gain Eli's respect in this scene because Tony was able to out fox him. Outside of that, i suspect Eli had some inkling that Tony and Ziva were into each other and again, whilst he may not have immediately approved, with the addition of baby Tali i think Eli would have been overjoyed at having a grandchild.

Let’s not forget Michael interfered during the crossover in Los Angeles. He used Ziva, saying she could vouch for him, and she defended the son of a bitch. Tony was right to question her loyalty.

Certainly, Tony's mother would've slapped Eli David in the face for the way he was talking to him after he killed a rouge Mossad Officer in self-defense who killed an American agent, if she did get to accompany Tony there. Would Tony's mother like Ziva if she met her and would Ziva like Tony's mother?

I just realized the amount of control Tony maintained throughout this entire scene and it's incredible. This is the first time I've taken note of it, and it's one of the things that makes his character so dynamic. Despite what the situation looks like, he stays cool.

Tony was probably safer travelling with Officer Hadar at the time,Ziva would probably have got him killed on the way to Mossad Headquarters,"accidentally"of course the way she felt about him at the time.

She confronted her father about why she wasn't told the details of michaels mission to which he relied because he didnt know where her loyalties lay. She had a relationship with both agencies and obviously a personal one with michael so she was caught in the crosshairs. Everyone judging her loyalties, she was stuck.
