She's definitely a great starter car. She's sexy already like only 3rd gens can be, I'm a 3rd Gen man . I agree with you I am a hardtop person but I also prefer roll up windows, no switches or regulators to replace and the 305 is a very reliable motor . I sold my 91 rs in early 2022 and kept my 06 rt magnum wagon and she blew up so I'm doing a chevy LS swap 5.3 4l60e but I'm going to get another 3rd Gen hardtop I want another 91 rs 305,700r4 when I can afford even a project . Hope to see you fix her up little at a time.

If you follow my channel you'll see the progress. It's a little bit of a slow start but I'll get it done. I put a bunch of work into a 5.3 with a cam in it and hopefully it'll hold together well. I'll try my hardest to put all the little things in to make sure a guy like me that's never done it knows what to look for.

@@kephartskustoms1991 I believe I already subscribed but I will make sure I did .these cars are quicker with a 5.3. I personally love the LS motors. I have 2 stock 5.3s and trans one is going into my dead hemi 06 rt magnum wagon,she's sexy as fukk just like 3rd gens but the hemi in these are grenades as every one I've had had had the motors to out and yet my other magnum also black has a 3.5 v6 still rings great. But they are putting the LS motors in everything now a days from Porsche,lambo,,civics,challenger's chargers,stands to even Teslas which is hilarious as I'm not an ever lover. But if you look at vids or go to an LS fest there are more stand LS swaps than anything else and tons of LS swapped stang groups and clubs ,same with challenger ls clubs but not as many. Not knocking stands as if they didn't make Camaro's I'd roll stands and I have 3 burbans (03,07 and 2010) but if they didn't make them I'd roll excursions but although I want a late model hellcat charger I dont want a challenger nice but not for me. I have a 69 chevy scooby van 108 with a 94 lt1 I'm taking her 350 out and going to put a 65 283 in her. The 350 runs like shit with the points distributor and I won't put hei in my van

Pretty enthusiastic about the ole Malibu! My cousin had one and the transmission was acting up, went for a test drive to see what was up with it and it threw a rod! Haha wasn’t even knocking. Something to be said about no payments though.

@@nickbrimmer6950 I'll be interviewing my girlfriends dad and talking about all his vehicles so stay tuned for that. If you want to see it go ahead and subscribe. He's working on a big block in his 68 f100 now. It's already been crown vic swapped. The front end and a 8.8 rear end. He did have side pipes on it but not sure if it still does now. It's got cobra rims and he left the patina on the paint. It's pretty sick.

If you haven't pulled the engine and transmission out yet; just a hint and suggestion from a guy who once owned an '83 Camaro Berlinetta. Jack up the rear of the car until the front air dam is touching the ground, or remove the air dam to raise the rear even more without crushing the air dam. Doing that will lower the front of the car and raise the transmission tunnel angle. So you should be able to pull out the engine and transmission together without having to raise the engine hoist so high; and without the transmission yoke hitting the ground and bellhousing hitting the trans. tunnel. Hope this helps! Good luck with your engine build.

On my 91 Firebird the only way to get the gap perfect was to take the rear lid off cut the rubber seal reseal it let it dry as they move out from the shocks and years of sun softening and stretching the seal

Will this cause poor idle after warm up or right at cold start as well. My Dakota runs fine till after about 40 mins of driving will stall if rpm’s are below 2500
@kephartskustoms1991
@kephartskustoms1991 5 ай бұрын
It will cause really bad gas mileage and will burn oil. If you stick a magnet down your intake and it's magnetic then it's the stock plate. It's a pretty common problem for these magnum 318 and 360 motors. (5.2 & 5.9)

I would try taking your idle air control off the back of the intake and seeing how dirty it is.
