Such a moving video Glenn, well done and good to see that Morrie loved his life.

It was a pleasure to be part of the Flotilla to celebrate Morrie's last sail on his lovely yacht with his family and close friends. To share a beer, smile, laughs and hugs with him on returning to the marina is a memory I will cherish forever. Calm sees and following breeze as you cross the bar and sail into the sunset my good friend.

It was in 1985 that I first met Morrie at the Port Office Hotel in Brisbane, Morrie was living aboard his 30 foot timber sloop. His yacht was built by Theo Tyson in his boatyard in Waratah. With my encouragement Morrie sailed to Lake Macquarie and met up with Theo at his home in Belmont. I was able to be a small part in starting Morrie's career in yacht delivery by inviting Morrie to be part of the crew delivering Warick Miller's yacht 'Spirit' from Southport th Lake Macquarie . This trip also started a long friendship with Tony Mowbray, Morrie doing a 2 handed anticlockwise sail around Australia with Tony. As we are in Tasmania we were unable to return to Newcastle to be part of Morrie's last sail . I thank those who organised the for Morrie as he was clearly happy with all of his mates.
