@@shanikadukes5611 you would think that they would be rough, but they aren’t at all. They are very smooth like a dolphin’s skin. If you haven’t pet a dolphin, then the closest thing would maybe be a wetsuit.

@@WeekendExplorer hard to tell as I'm not knowledgeable enough to tell which pod without seeing a specific one that is distinct to a specific pod. They can even intermingle, so it's tough to say, but La Ventana is right in their breeding grounds.

Removing barnacles could hurt that whale they don’t have hard shells and the skin is sensitive so it’s best not to try to remove them. The whales will remove them by scratching against things. Now I have seen people remove the whale lice for them and that doesn’t cause harm to that whale. There is actually videos that show the same whales going up to the fishing boats they know and letting the fishermen remove their lice.
