I always thought mysticism was among the best starting techs but i guess an early religion isnt that important, especially if youre going for domination anyway

Nope, it's stock music added in post. The in-game music tends to make the copyright bots angy so I use royalty-free music instead.

Sorry, I thought I responded earlier. It's hard to say why exactly the Civ games are so interesting to me, but they scratch a certain itch that I don't really get from other games, if that makes sense?

how do you get the AI to make ships? They always avoid the coast for me...

The AI is more likely to build ships on maps with a lot of water, like archipelago or this modded atoll map. They still don't put a heavy focus on them, especially on prince.

I knew that was coming! Trust the Civ 5 AI to rush building wonders over doing literally anything else. Every time I've gone to conquer Egypt he always has several wonders despite having no army and a miserable populace. Good video

My favorite Civ game is 6, actually. I made a mod for this one to tweak a few things I didn't like and the mod kind of snowballed from there.

Civ 4 is honestly a lot of fun once you get the basics down. If you're interested, check out my friend Henrik's channel (link in description); he's a lot better than I am and even has a discord where you can come and ask questions

LOL the technical difficulties will get you...life of a civ 3 modder. also, holy pollution, nice that you had a bunch of workers ready to do the cleanup. congrats on the win, and good luck with the next one!

Thanks! Yeah, and keep in mind this pollution is with all the building pollution values halved and pop pollution negated with Mass Transportation Hubs. Next series will be a bit but I'll get up as soon as I can.

Btw, when you were looking for your trebuchets -- by default your military advisor shows the units in each city, but if you click on View by Unit, it'll give you a list of all the trebuchets, and then you can mouse over them to see where they are on the minimap, or click on them to be taken to them on the map itself.

There were things in Civilization 1, and not in the other Civs... You could add population to a city with settlers, until the city has a pop score of 10. Also, you could build radars to the hills in Civ 3, which boosts combat damage. In Civ 4, if you get gold from a civ per turn, it is automatically cancelled after 20 turns. In Civ 3, there was no such a thing. You could bribe alone units in Civ 1. There were many more... But a Civilization game with full realistic game play has never been built. They need to combine all the goods and realistic things. I really want them to combine Civ 4 with Civ 6, with gigantic maps and 50+ players!!! Well, just a dream... May be in the heaven 😂😂😇
