Weird? I'm not French so this isn't a patriotic thing but I have never heard anyone describe the DS and 2CV as anything other than revolutionary and game changing.

It still is the easiest camera to use due to its Tri Nav Dial System ( exposure settings like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO) Unless you are one of those people who feels they need to change their modes all the time which is a pain on this camera as you need to go into the menu.
@keepinitezzy
@keepinitezzy Күн бұрын
Ah yes, it is helpful once you hit a specific mode, but I frequently switch between aperture and shutter priority a lot and I agree, having to go to the menu is mildly painful 😅

Thankyou so much for your fantastic, informative presetatiion. Truly an elegant car 164e and mine did have the larger, fantastic Safety Bumpers that was used on all models following. I wonder if they had been added, but I very much doubt it, as the car was completley original. I had one the same colour would you believe and the same colour interior. I always say to everybody, it had the most instant heat from its heater. Truly it did. I loved it so much and couldnt stop admiring it. I would drive the Family mad when I parked it outside a cafe, so I could look at it whilst having my meal. I would say to the family, just look at how beautiful that car is. The front was superb. They would get sick of me saying it. It was a superb car. Fantastic views of the Body you have videoed as well. Cheers, John (Australia)

Very cool, the 164 -73 is in my opinion the best looking of the whole series. Dad of a friend of mine had one from new, ice blue metallic/ black interior - a very nice car in period.

In 1996 my parents got a 1969 bordeaux red 164 automatic which they had imported from Munfors, Sweden. The same year we went on holiday near the area the car came from, but on the way in Hamburg we got stuck in heavy traffic and my dad rammed the gearbox in Park while still rolling which resulted in a big clang noise, nothing more, at least at first glance. During our stay the starter desided to kill itself, so we ordered a new one from Germany and it became my first repair job at 12 years of age, yaay. On the way back and already very close to home my dad wanted to be home asap so he floored it for over an hour on the Autobahn, doing the quoted top speed of 180 kph easily, but then the gearbox failed quite dramatically leaving a long trail of oil behind. The broken park-part destroyed the gearbox inside, all the gears were toast. The car was then towed and a specialist converted it to a 4 speed manual. After a few years my parents sold it and it was then fully restored to mint condition. Years later we came across it in a town near us and we made some good conversation with the new owner, remeniscing an so on. That car left a big mark on me, in beauty and elegance, I'll never forget it. Btw, since last month there's a new old Swede on my parents' driveway: a grey 940 Estate 2.0 Turbo with only half a million kms on the clock. After I fixed all the neglected maintenance it drives like a dream, again. Happy days, again!

Very nice video. I purchased a 1974 164E in November 1975 for $3700. It was the car driven by the mother of the dealership’s owner, and had been driven less than 4000 miles. The Volvo advertisement at that time was: A civilized car in an uncivilized world. Referring to the harsh weather condition.

Thank you for a vídeo about a magnificent dar, the 505. Here in Europe the 504 and the 505 were Famous,excellent vehicles. Acctually, in my extended Family there were 404s, 504s, and the 505s. Long lasting cars, highly comfy and safe, delievering great gas mileage. Assisted by a wide network of Dealerships, affording unexpensive post-warranty service, the Peugeot line kept the cars running in good shape until the cows came home. As they say in Vermont (USA). In the US, without a comprehensive Dealer-network, the brand was unable to provide a proper assistance. Same situation applied to the Famous, Advanced Citroen DS 21.Durable and highly sophisticated vehicles, years ahead of the competition. the Brand also lacked a network. And above all, the corner gas station, used to deal with Ramblers and Chevrolets, lacked the capacity and even the tools to service such advanced vehicles. The futuristic suspension, enabling the vehicle to run just on three wheels, in case of a flat tire, was far beyond the skills of a common mechanic. Thank you once again for your videos.

Gorgeous car. Expensive looking, and yet a low-profile vehicle. For people who didn't like to show-off. Good taste, great design -- too bad that the brand has lost its forner charme.

Hello, thanks for this review. Would you rather have a Helix Ultralight or a Brompton T-Line? Why? Stay awesome.
@keepinitezzy
@keepinitezzy 2 ай бұрын
Hello there, man it's been quite a while since I tried those two bikes to be honest 😅, and I've personally never used the Brompton T-Line. But I would favour the Helix when it comes to comfort and handling compared to the Brompton, which I believe the larger wheels and disc brakes do help with that. That and also since the Helix is slightly cheaper. Although the Brompton does have more flexibility when it comes to accessories and practicality, especially with that front bag holder.
