I'd venture out on a limb and suggest that SDSU might be going for their 4th straight championship right now if Mark had not been hurt in the Sam Houston championship game. The Jacks surely would have won that one and their season would have totally different the next fall with Gronowski back at the helm. If he does bolt for greener pastures, I predict SDSU won't even make the playoffs next year. With him, it will still be a major rebuilding project with so much talent exhausting their eligibility.

I was broken hearted when I heard he was leaving Nebraska because I loved watching him on special teams and was looking forward to seeing him contribute to the defense. But his arrival at SDSU coincided with the emergence of two kids from my hometown whose mother I knew - so I became a big Jackrabbit fan - so I'm glad now that he's at SDSU. I hope his NFL dream becomes reality.
