Thank you very much , I actually like doing transmissions , mainly Torqueflites , lining the pump by flipping it in the case is bloody awesome , I had a lot of trouble with my last 904 . I was going to mention about using a drill press to compress the clutch springs but you bet me to it 😅👌🏽 I’d like to try the governor delete but not sure how to tackle that on the Torqueflites . Awesome work man keep it up , PS make sure you Hashtag every thing to do with what you’re doing , there’d be a big US 🇺🇸 following for this type of content 👌🏽👌🏽

Thanks for the reply and i just Sub to your channel . Easiest way to do a torque flites is to just buy a Transgo kit but if you have a spare valve body that your not ever going to ever convert back to auto shift just get there stick shift 904/727 instructions and just follow and understand what there doing with there block off and transfer plates in the kit . There are 2 holes that have to be drilled in there instruction that use a transfer plate which you dont have to drill those holes and just remove the channel casting on the opposite side of the valve body so it connects the galleries together . There is also another plate that blocks a hole off but fill the hole with araldite so it blocks the hole off .And a hole on the rear of the case has to be blocked Aswell , Just put a grub screw in that hole . Theres other things you have to do but its more about just reading there instructions and understanding what there doing . Thanks Mark

What do you do with the lt1 springs to handle the bit extra you're asking of them? Does shimming them up help any to fight the boost or the max lift? I've heard of them used up to .500 but not reccomended for over .480 and extended use. I've floated springs from too much boost before with no issues of lift bind. Sorry if it's a stupid question I've always fitted springs rated slightly over the lift or measured bind before ordering a reground.

Spot on. The concept was based on prices you pay, not what it's worth to someone else today. People are missing the point. Hey mate. Good job in getting involved with Scotty’s challenge but What percentage of the $2k performance budget are you saying the 5L engine and driveline cost you? it’s not part of the car as it was a 6 now your swapping it to an 8. As all performance parts (even if you already had them) had to have a monetary value put on them to go towards the $2k budget. Couldn’t just say. Ahh well I had them laying around so it’s free Or cost nothing. Not that it really matters as there’s no prizes and the competition is for fun but it’s Kinda bending the rules of the competition.
@marksworkshop5426 күн бұрын
Your allowed to spend up to 2k on buying a car so i will class it in that . And all parts i have will start with will be standard parts . Im not worried about that to be honest and if its a issue so be it . Im not short on cars to use if i wanted to use something else . I have a vr and a vs both 5 ltr cars sitting around aswell + numerous other old Holdens . The challenge is to spend 2k in performance parts to make it go . This motor I bought for years ago for $500 with a transmission and lpg gas kit . I sold the transmission for $350 and the gas kit for $100 so that leaves me with a motor only costing $50 if people want to go down that route. The reason im using this car is because it’s different from the normal Holden / Ford
