OMG, I didn’t know South Western Railway trains terminate at Andover! Ik they stop at Andover, but its the first time Ive seen an announcement of a SWR train with service straight to Andover! Im actually shocked and surprised, is it real? Thank you very much for this!

Sometimes engineering works take place beyond Andover meaning they run a shuttle service between Basingstoke and Andover. Still a rare announcement to catch though!

@@pinkfairy3652 You're very welcome :). They did a shuttle service between Basingstoke and Andover last weekend due to engineering works between Andover and Salisbury. Yes Anne does also say this announcement too. Next time they do a shuttle service between Basingstoke and Andover I'll try get a much better recording. This video was from a while ago which is why the quality of audio isn't great but next time there is an announcement like this ill get a better quality recording of it. Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions!

Yeah i've had that. It's weird. I've been on a 3 car 159 from London to Basingstoke and that was a nightmare as it was during rush hour and it was packed.

If South Western Railway were to order more Class 701/5s I think that they should be used on the Portsmouth Direct line and to work alongside with the Class 450 and to keep the Class 444s for Bournemouth, Poole and Southampton Central.
