If talking about one artist and the same work oit of the three would the Serigraph, Litho or Giclee hold a better resale value?

Can you tell the difference based on the age of a piece (i.e. is giclee a relatively new process?) I sell midcentury prints and I tend to refer to them as lithographs, assuming giclee would only apply to newer pieces, but I should make certain. TIA!

The main questions I had: 1. What is the difference in image quality, if any? 2. Is there any difference in fading? Which image would last longer?

Using four color process in the litho the image quality in can be sharper due to the defined screen patterns of the ink, but the giclee can have a more vibrant and saturated look. The continuous tone areas can appear smoother, as well. Even using fade resistant inks in the litho, the giclee will fade less and last longer, especially using water-based inks.

The one on the left is a canvas giclee. It may not always be obvious how something is printed. Sometimes it takes viewing the piece through a magnifier to see how the ink was applied to the paper. Lithographic printing will have definitive patterns where a giclee patterns are arbitrary.

Do giclee prints have any dots? I have a painting with No dots.

Thanks for the explanation. Which of the paintings behind you is giclee? I can't find any side-by-side comparisons online of a regular art poster and giclee.
