I just bought one of your knives from the House of Blades. It's absolutely beautiful. I had a couple of knives at the counter and I had them restock them because I just fell in love with this knife. Sharp as hell too.

What is the grit paper actually made of? Is it an emery cloth? And what grit level? Do you offer multiple grit levels?
@anzakniveshandmadeinusa945717 күн бұрын
It is hardcore industrial ceramic. We only have one grit right now but might have more in the future. This is a rough grit to get it down quickly then we recommend you use a stone etc to finish.

Hello Charlie, just wanted to say thank you for making a wonderful product. I was drilling out in Mansfield, Pa about 12 years ago when I seen a guy on my crew with an anza knife. I fell in love immediately and drove to the nice man’s house that was selling Anza knives knocked on his door (randomly) and asked if he had anymore he would be willing to part with he came out with a box full and sold a half dozen to me and my co-workers. I bought a couple off eBay, then came across your website and KZbin, just placed an order today for a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law and a sharpener for myself. I have also given one to my brother. None of us have ever had any problem with them after years of use and abuse. Cheers from Utah!

Hello, love your knives n all. Got a few. But since you mentioned it...what u learned from the hunters makes sense. BUT I have notivced that on your knives the edge is always very wide because of that. Why dont you grind the blade thinner instead n put a smaller edge on ... Or would that in your opinion n Experience make it too weak since u use a hollow grind? Thx all the best

1:14 LOL, 10 YEARS!! Quick call the knife police!! How commenters love to exaggerate. This genius doesn't seem to notice that is a piece of a a sanding belt for a belt sander, which knife makers / forgers use to put the edge on knives. I guess they also missed the part where you fine tune with a fine stone to remove the burr to finish.
@twatmunro4 ай бұрын
Most KZbinrs don't 'use' their knives other than to open parcels from Amazon and cut some paper to show off how 'sharp' it is. They think they're experts because they've watched a handful of videos (made by other collectors) and feel emboldened enough to lecture somebody with 60 years of knife making experience on how to be doing it. Too dumb to feel a sense of shame.

You just took away 10 years of the life of the blade in 10 seconds. Why on earth would you make something like this with such a coarse grit? I’m honestly curious. Part of sharpening a blade is removing as little steel as possible. This just hurts to watch.

Not a representative of Anza, but I am a sharpening guy. It will create a convex and I'm guessing, without ever touching the product, you can even get a pretty good facsimile of a zero ground edge using it

I just turned 55 My father purchased a knife for me back in 82. I still have it, the sheath is a bit warm from extreme sun, rain, ocean water, high humidity and extreme humidity lows. The knife is surviving better that the sheath. But I wouldn’t trade, sell, or change anything. This knife has become a badge of honor. Could use one with a thicker handle as my arthritis sometimes does not allow my a proper grip to use this old blade, but after 43 years I am still a grateful owner. And While I was running flea markets around the Southwest, I was proud to sell them. Thank you Charlie and the family, and the whole team. One of these days I will buy a newer blade for myself ;) maybe a video explaining what annealing is, not the process you use so much, but rather a proper explanation of what it is and how it relates to your knife making process.
