The absolute BEST example of eventers training. Galloping at fences not even looking at them like a mad man!!!! 😅😂 LOVE SOME HARRY AND LAURA

Harry’s horse is a big ol boy…very difficult to get around that pinwheel

This was excellent. As much as I enjoyed watching Laura H and Zara, for obvious reasons, this session was much more informative. Very interesting

You can really see the difference in these riders. Tom is so connected, and stays so quiet and relaxed in his body… Richard is a big guy and gets the job done but he’s a little more aggressive and quick in his technique. You can see the Difference in the way the horses go. Tom’s horse has a much nicer way of going naturally I think witch is always a pleasure to ride!

I so very much agree. It seems a fashion and looks so constricting and can't possibly benefit the horses

In my opinion, the mare with the blaze has been ridden too long over flexed, she is already showing weakness in the hind end (evidenced by all the rails being hit down by hind end). You can see the downward angle of hind end to shoulder when looking from the side. She is communicating her frustration (and, perhaps, discomfort) with the head tossing.

I love watching your son ride and your instruction is always wonderful. The chestnut seems spooky and tight in the neck. Would lunging or handwork in this arena beforehand allow for the horse to relax a bit and give an even better performance? No criticism, as I said it is a joy to watch the amazing horses you bring along.

I’m not a showjumper so I don’t necessarily know a crap ton about riding one but with all of my horses, I took 30 minutes at the beginning of each ride to walk, trot, canter each direction and get a feel for the surroundings. At the trot I did a lot of loosening of the reins and allowing the horse to stretch out and down and bend before picking them back up and trying to put them together. With all the horses that I’ve ridden, if you take them straight out and try to frame them, they get tense, nervous and excited.
