Family Matters is not good because Drake is not a rapper he’s a pop artist he’s the second coming of a bad version of Justin Timberlake.

Ay my man i beg you not to act like you didnt see this comment... but i think you need to go listen to KOD one more time, and if you wanna put that under the rug, then atleast listen to his song "Change" .. or "1985" just ONE more time, please man. i dont think you understand what cole is all about. him apologizing doesnt ruin or even hurt hip hop. i know hes always talking about being ready to battle with anyone. but by battle, he means anyone trynna act like a kid or misplace themselves as a hip hop artist. sure lil pump is/was a kid, but i know damn well he would come at a 30 years old the same way if he was actin like that. is being smart in a "rap beef" just about specifically bars? comparing flows and delivery? or counting the numbers it gets? or is it about showing your longevity and keeping a peacful atmosphere to it while still wanting to fight for your prespective to be ONE of the goats. But does it have to be a war? Hip hop IS a competitive sport. yes. But Cole will forever be able to make albums like For Your Eyes Only, and still get mad numbers and mad respect for it. and its also important to think... who else do you see in the "TOP" of the game currently, that would dare try and put cole to the test? and im not talking about people that havent drop a project for 5, 6, 7+ years. because yes there are old heads and underground rappers that would give him a nice bruse. and im not talking about rappers that he pretty much calls family (kendrick). if you look at how hip hop has aged. J.cole isnt about turning anything into a war. like drakes house getting shot up (probably had nothing to do with kendrick) ... but do people want boddies to start dropping to make hip hop interesting? hip hop didnt start from black men going against eachother. it started with everyone coming together having a great time creating a rebelious genre of music that was for an amount of its pure time, about fixing the streets and bringing gangs together to go against the gov and find a way out of poverty. but gangs are never safe so rap started pushing the competition a bit further than it would have ever needed to be. i dont blame hip hop, but i blame the world for letting it turn into what it is right now. i thank god for kendrick existing. especially in hiphop, but does cole not respect the same energy for hip hop? turly listen to his music and tell me you dont see someone pushing for a better future and vision of hip hop and staying away from drama. Watching ufc fighters talk shit to eachother, bash eachother faces in like its pay back for hurting their child, not stopping until the ref stops them. embaressing ass knockouts. and those dudes STILL get up and show mad love to eachother right after waking up and gettin back on their two feet. Hip Hop should be no different. only when it comes to a kendrick and drake type beef wich is super personal, but without violence. and i think thats all cole is trying to keep away from his himself, violence...if that isnt mature and healthy for hip hop (not rap) hip hop, then again beg you to tell me what im missing about the apology coming from this specific man. if it was a GANGSTER ass rapper that apologized, id be real put off at that. but look bro, just look who apologized. all im asking you to do.
