Been riding my k2 230 for 50 hours now and I friggen love the thing. It's been the perfect bike to learn how to ride and work on bikes.

Buying a bike soon would you say this would be a good bike for a beginner or is it too heavy?
@benjanin1198

Depends on what kind of riding you want to do, and your physical stature. If you have along inseam and are strong riding logging roads, through the country and street its not a bad. If you have a short inseam, are not very athletic and are thinking about off-road riding exclusively this would not be your first choice

@@benjanin1198 Thanks for the response. I went to the dealer and tested out the size and decided it was to large for my first bike. Definitely think it would be great down the road when i get into offroad onroad riding but for now im Looking for the right bike for commuting and will take my time to make sure I get it right after all I want to be comfortable especially on my first ride. I appreciate the help!😃😁

I got the 250 EFI, it has a heavy 18" nylon rear tire weighing it down and a 49t rear while the R has a 19" Kenda and 51t sprocket. I just swapped to a lighter rear tire and that woke the motor up big time, thats why the EFI felt sluggish. The new dohc head on the NC250 motor makes crazy torque for a low maintenance 250F and does not flame out/stall. Power feels like the older gen KLX300/CRF250X > At least 30hp to rear wheel. Suspension is alright, on the stiff side but doesnt bottom set softer. Over all quality on the K models is amazing for the price. These are outstanding trail bikes, if u got sick of race bikes like I did. Great niche between heavy, slow, poor suspension of 250/300cc dual sports and 10k XC race bikes. My only complaint is the forks are heavy {but can set a lot more sag, and still handles awesome} and the throttle is a bit harsh/jerky coming off decel at low rpm but typical of all FI 4 strokes these days.

Thanks for the info! I am planning to buy a K6-R but I will mostly practice on off roads and half time will ride MX tracks. Do you recommend the K6-R which can be adaptable for both use I suppose or I should go for the 250 EFI ?

@@alexispons7860 depends on if u are good with and like carburetors. Biggest difference. Someone claimed the suspension is different. My EFI feels stiff enough to do MX and Im 210lbs

@@alexispons7860 I maybe got 10 hours on the bike, it takes a few hours for the motor to break in. That with the lighter tire...this motor really rips. U have to watch out for the fuel injector being dirty/clogged from the showroom, beware of that. Not hard to clean, or I got one shipped from the dealer under warranty. But the fueling is really spot on.
