@hails_m88 a lot of the places I have used in the past are shut down now, I haven't bought glitter for such a long time. If you are a member of any nail groups on Facebook, I'd recommend searching for glitter within the group and you should find some more relevant suggestions. Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Hello, love the idea of using adhesive tabs. you mentioned heat softens them... would Florida heat be the kind to soften them and make them pop off too easy? xx
@NailswithCourtneyCrosbieАй бұрын
@CoCoCarolyn hi! I've never been to florida, but I did wear them on a hot day in Germany and they popped off with ease by pressing down on the nail. It was about 95deg F . It's worth a shot anyways. There's so many variables that you'll only know if it will suit you, if you try it. :) xx

Awesome video! One question though, when applying to the natural nail…. Pressing them on - even though they’re cured and shiny do they get smudged at all from pressing down?
@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie2 ай бұрын
@donnapeterson1945 hi! Great question :) if you're using regular nail varnish, they need to dry for 24 to 48 hours to minimise the risk of smudging, as you do have to press hard and long. They will be 100% dry for certain after 48hrs though. If you're using gel polish, there is no risk of smudging them, just let them cool down before applying them. ( which only takes 10 seconds or so, so really no risk there ) have fun xx

My gel polish is super thick. I think its drying out.
@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie3 ай бұрын
@JKidding989 hi :) gel polish doesn't dry out per say. Some brands are thick and gloopy, some are thin and runny. If it has little clumps in it, it's been exposed to uv. Even non direct light from a window will cure it if its exposed. If its just thick, it's probably more so a brand quality issue. Xx

I need your advice. I bought BTR box French and the gel top coat keeps peeling off! Any advice I use alcohol over the nail before applying the product to help it stick.
@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie3 ай бұрын
@katarinasimeone1358 hiya :) alcohol won't make the nail sticky for application. If that's all you have, but the nails to take the shine off, then wipe with alcohol, then carry on with the application of your polish. I prefer to just wipe them with acetone as it melts the nail slightly, leaving a sticky surface . Hope this helps x

Why all my glossy nail polishes are turning matte when I'm applying it on plastic nails
@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie3 ай бұрын
@nilima_sasmal I'm not sure, usually it is the topcoat that gives the nails a shiny or matte finish. The polish you're using on the plastic nails should have the same effect that they have on natural nails. I have seen air dry polishes behave erratically when used in extreme hot or cold temperatures. I'd reccomend applying a shiny Topcoat over the nails. If you're using gel polish, it is normal for the colors to be matte ( if you wipe them off after curing, which you wouldn't normally do. ) it is the topcoat that provides the shine. Sorry if that didn't help at all, it's hard to advise without knowing the specifics of the brand and technique that you're using. X

Hi! Quick question. If i have a nail polish remover with acetone, can i just use that? I dont know if it willl work the same. And for nails like this, can you use normal bail polish and let it dry overnight, or do you need gel polish? Im a teenager on a budget, and I'd like to learn to paint my press-ons.
@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie4 ай бұрын
@Choaticsibling1111 hi! Yes, regular nail polish remover with acetone is fine :) regular nail polish is fine too, but it takes a while to dry. 24hrs is probably enough depending on how thick they are painted. The problem arises when you press down on the nail to apply it, if it's not 100% dry it will leave a fingerprint in the polish. I'd reccomend painting one extra nail, that you'll be able to test if it's completely dry without worrying about wrecking it :) have fun!

@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie6 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm glad it has helped. Pigment powders are really versatile and fun to use in other ways, too, so you should get some! Each coat of polish is cured. The tacky layer is created by curing. Some polishes cure with no tacky layer though, if that happens then just flash cure for 10 sec ( or more, you'll have to experiment which gives you the best sticky finish for the powders to cling to) and make sure to cure fully after applying the powder to reduce the risk of allergies from uncured product. Hope this helps xx
