What a sweet, wonderful man. It brought tears to my eyes when he kissed his father.

That was when America was great this is what Donald trump would want America to get back to but you know it won’t happen because all you have in America now are all those far left anti Americans ruining the greatest country there ever was if the democrats win this next election they will be there for ever or until they run America into the ground hope trump wins but got a horrible feeling there is no way these democrats are going to allow that just what they did in 2020 total fucking disgrace

They couldn't help themselves with advertisements even back then . Money was the motor motivator even back then . With leeches wanting to make money of this mans personal relationship with god . Bless Desmond . They are full throttle in todays world .

This episode was aired on February 18, 1959. Sadly, Colonel Gerald G. Cooney passed away from a heart attack at just 46, on June 10, 1961 (DOB: August 10, 1914). So very, very sad that he survived the horrendous war but died so young of heart disease. I also found out today that he had a son named Gerald George Cooney, who also served in the Army like his father, and fought in the Vietnam War. He passed away at an even younger age than his father, at 36-37 (1950 -1987). I don't know what he passed away from because it's not listed on the site I found him on, but it breaks my heart to know this piece information. Thank you both for serving our country and both of you are heroes.❤

The most amazing man. Ii heard that there was a Japanese survivor who wanted to meet Desmond. I don’t know if he ever got to but supposedly he said a couple oh his comrades would not fire at Desmond because they realized what he was doing and they themselves were amazed that he had not been shot by the others.

I think Andrew Garfield did a great job in the film Hacksaw Ridge. He got lots of Doss's behaviours into portraying him on film. I'm grateful for films that allow me to further research amazing people. Much thanks to the uploaded of this ❤

So sad people pledge their allegiance to the world governments which Satan owns Luke 4:5-7 and not gods government Daniel 2:44 which is governed by Christ Jesus. Jesus said him self my government is no part of this world.

What an OUTSTANDING HUMAN BEING! Why at 63 years of age that I discover this man? Why is he not spoken about in schools? Mike Jodan can't hold a candle to this supreme person. This is the stuff that makes great human beings. I have a new hero, and his name is Desmond Doss. What a fantastic human being!

Watched Hacksaw Ridge again. Very few movies can make me emotional, hell, very few anything can make me emotional, I'm not even a religious man but the "help me get one more" is just crazy. The humbleness of asking help - to help someone else over and over. Nah that's insane. This dude is a straight up legend. Edit; I want to say, I understand both sides, now, I've never been to war, not even close, wouldn't pretend too; what I do know is, what it's like to think you're going to die because of something you have to do. It's scary and nerve wracking. The idea that your supposed to be covered by your brothers in arms and they're your only real safety line and one of them refuses to carry a gun to help you.. Man that's infuriating. How many men do you know as brave as doss? I don't know any. I'm glad he got to prove his convictions and save those men.

The correct title of the award is the Medal of Honor, not the Congressional Medal of Honor. It is earned, not won. These details aside, if there is anyone more deserving of it than Desmond Doss, I don't know who it could be.
