you missed the important part of securing it with tape, but by doing so you also missed the oppertunity to do the same mistake all the others do on youtube. Rolling the tape from the top down.. the correct way is from the buttom up! That way water wont get in. 73 de OZ6JO

Didn't know which band the antenna was for (assembler didn't mention it) until I saw the packaging. Seems kind of long for a 2 meter antenna.

For the 6300€ the ts990 costs i would have expected that filter to already beeing installed. i can then get a ts850 for like 600€ and get a reception about as good as this with that extra filter. so i dont think the ts990 will be worth its money. the dsp isnt really usefull either, it distorts the signal, the dsp even in the el cheapo yaesu ft891 is better.

The receiving antenna is 10m away from the transmitting antenna. The NCC-2 has RTR receive-transmit interface relay that is hooked up to the keying line of the TS-990. If there is a concern of higher power, there are receiver guards plug-in modules available that limit the RF.

How far away do you have the phasing antenna from the main station antenna?I was thinking about RF coupling and possible damage to your radio on transmit.
