Only David Cassidy and Shirley Jones could sing and she was playing an instrument. The rest of the fictional family were lip-syncing and fake playing the instruments. The Producers originally wanted David to lip-sync but David convinced them he could sing.

It is September 2024, as I listen to this and smile.😄 Back in the not so long ago 90's, a friend would pop The Partridges' "Sound Machine" CD in the car's player. I felt so happy, I now had a friend who still enjoyed The Partridge Family, even after all those years! We'd zip to that day's adventures, all the while singing along to "Summer Days," as loud as we could! Those were fun days. Sadly, that friend passed away three years after David.💔 RIP.

I wish I had been born back then or at the very least could time travel. Something about the 70's just seems like pure bliss. Sometimes I feel like I have lived a past life during that time and everything feels so familiar and comforting, but maybe that's just the magic of nostalgia. I love every aspect, the tiger beat magazines and posters, the colorful clothes, the feathered hair, no cell phones, the wonderful music, the sense of teenage freedom, and so forth. Not to mention it was back when the actors and singers had true talent. ❤
