I don't get it. Why not just ride a bike with a little tow behind cart? Or just push/pull a dolley, or even a wagon or a shopping csrt? Or use a pack goat?

So confused whether this is about the cart, the backpack, or what? 😅 I totally thought for a second that this was a backpack with a build in cart, so you could carry it over rough terrain, but pull it most of the time. Probably wouldn't work simply due to the weight, but seemed interesting 🤷... instead this seems to be about a completely normal backpack, not sure what makes it 'proprietary'. Weird video all around 😅 (No idea why KZbin showed this in my recommendations xD)

Thank you for your comment, David. To answer your questions, you can read the video description to the end and visit our website, online store, and HipStar KZbin Channel. This back is proprietary because it is designed for the HipStar hiking trailers and mainly targets HipStar owners and HipStar subscribers. You can also contact KZbin and ask them why they disturbed you by showing our video. For more questions please email me - [email protected]. Have a great weekend.

Congratulations Alan! Great video! 👍Amazing the different places you have been! I just got my HipStar, live on the left coast of the US, and have not started on my adventures yet. Now that you are an "seasoned veteran" in this field, with REAL world experience... I am sure you have added and eliminated a lot of items to what you pack for long trips. What backpack(s) have you found to work well with the Hipstar, and if money was not an issue what would you suggest for long trips? I am sure you have discovered some items you thought would work well that didn't, and you wish you had others, and over time you fine tuned what you carry. What do you now carry on long trips, and what did you THINK you needed, that you found you can actually live without (and why)? What did you end up with daily food/drink (i.e. what backpack food, or others do you take/buy/make/prepare before you go; what do you use for cooking, water purification...)? What items have you found that can be used for multiple uses on your daily basis, in your bag/backpack, and also carry on the HipStar? What clothes have you found to work well on long trips with the HipStar, for different weather you are going to run into (hot, mild, rainy, and cold weather, and not sure what it will be)? Look forward to hearing your input! EagleMark (I leave this open for others that have made long trips with their HipStars. Please leave your comments as to what worked well, and you found do NOT work, or wish you had something else with you, or... if I had it to do over again, I would have done/carried/not carried this).

Sorry, I'm lost at step one. I can do Ikea assembly, but I'm no engineer. How do you get the wheels off, from the packed-up attachment? The guy in the video seems to just pull them, but this doesn't actually work. Do you have to loosen the hex nut? If so, the one at the front or the one at the back? It looks like a nice solid construction, once you get it assembled!

Mara, I have a few questions. How do you use a bicycle if you are not an engineer? Just kidding. Having my email, why do you choose KZbin comments to communicate with me? It is a quick-release axle. You need to press the button to pull the axle. Please switch to email for your next questions.

@@HIPSTAR-CHANNEL Hey Igor, it looks like my follow-up comment here got deleted or suppressed: I found the other assembly video, and was able to figure it out. To answer the question of why using YT comments - first, it was easiest, and second, I thought maybe someone else would appreciate an answer being posted here. Getting those wheels off was not obvious or intuitive - but very easy once you know how. My apologies if this has created any problem for you. My Hipstar is now assembled, functional, and looks very nice and easy to use. Thank you!

Not mechanically savvy, but own the HD. Is this some sort of improvement? Might I order parts if this is the case?
@HIPSTAR-CHANNEL7 ай бұрын
This bracket is not compatible with your HD version. We have redesigned the brake brackets due to numerous customer complaints about bent brackets that were welded to the frame during transportation. The new design features a separate bracket for shipping safety. Your HD's bracket is fine, and there is no need to worry about it.

I bought mine as a pre-production promo. It did not make it in time for my last Camino walk, but I have had it out since getting back and this thing is amazing. I knew the shocks would iron out my steps, but I did not expect them to iron out large rocks, tree roots and erosion gullies! I keep smacking it around to see if will bounce too much but it is solid. I have the model with the brakes. I have a bad back and this takes the weight off my back and off my knees. Hopefully I can get on another Camino walk soon.

Wow that looks heavy and uncomfortable against the back and shoulder blades. Also, weight should be transferred from shoulders to hips. Look at the design of any high end hiker’s backpack. Such a good idea but still in infancy.
