I’m a visitor engagement volunteer at a zoo and as I continue to learn more I always make a point of impressing on people the importance of the likes of cockroaches! Every species counts, with a potential for one exception, but we continue to try and educate!

I love that, at the zoo I work at I do a daily talk on inverts and something I do it try to change peoples minds on cockroaches

This lasted me a couple of months with 7 atlas larvae as well as giving some to isopods and millipedes

Hi where do you find out where and when shows are happening in the UK?

There are a few places, Invert shows uk run most of them and have a Facebook page with details, the British tarantula society run the biggest one in May and have their own page, south east arachnid show in January is run by the invicta arachnid club, then there's the Midlands Entomological Fayres in April and December, Mildenahall Halloween Invert show, New for 2025 will be the Hampshire Invert show, then there's also the IHS reptile show which also have inverts. All have there own pages, Rick's Bug Room often releases a list of every show within the UK

The wee Scorpions are cool good luck in breeding them too and that Centipede is a BEAUTY too am still creeped out by the MASSIVE species am ok with the smaller ones but that Centipede is STUNNING the black colour stands out wow
