This is china stuff😂 Chinese always copy Japanese with significantly less quality. 5:05 rivets are damaged, with glue residue. It's safer and cheaper to buy Uniqlo.

I've got 7 pairs of different Sauce Zhan selvedge jeans, including the one in this review, although some details are slightly different, but that would be just another batch. I have mostly straight fit, from 10Oz to 20Oz thicknesses. One pair keeps bleeding a lot is with brown inside (double died) and super dark blue exterior. I really love how textured some are, and how smooth others. The only tapered fit I bought is brown selvedge, which is nice for a bit more dressy occasions. The summer jeans in 10Oz are very comfy straight off the bat and have nice contrasting light blue stitching and rivets. The 316 model is a nice medium weight and is also very comfy right away. The 16Oz and 20Oz feel a bit starchy, but turned soft fairly quickly. Can't wait to see how they will fade.

All a question of preference. This is my most viewed video by a very long way. Personally, besides how baggy they are, I feel the quality is there. Despite having not washed/soaked them, the denim is already very soft. Quite a striking pair of denim jeans for the relatively low price.

I find it a bit weird you say you don’t rate naked and famous based on one pair, but then go on to buy and praise unbranded, which is literally naked and famous but made in China. It’s not like unbranded are higher quality, better constructed, use better materials or produce nicer fabric, unless it’s purely the branding you don’t like.
@stuntedmonk Жыл бұрын
Thanks for popping by! I bought the unbranded (which I am fully aware is N&F) as it’s a heavyweight denim and I felt ,therefore, a little different. It’s also, comparatively, cheap. The majority of N&F is generic weighted denim and, I feel, very gimmicky.
@daveyboy4715 Жыл бұрын
@@stuntedmonkfair enough man, ye they do a lot of limited edition gimmicky type stuff. They have the more standard line though, right. Like they literally do a type 3, 23oz, slubby denim jacket that’s comparable. Just seems like if you like one you’d probably also like the other 🤷♂️, either way it’s all good. Nice jacket man, hope it serves you well 👍

How much did these stretch with the way you chose to break them in - no wash, just wear? Stretch in inches would be most useful if you know it. I tried a pair of these UHRs on in this fit but the thighs and crotch are tight and I’m worried they wouldn’t break in much. Waist is snug but comfortable as new. I’m new to raw denim so I have zero knowledge and experience.

Awesome! I have a pair of 18oz Saucezhan jeans! Mine didn’t come with a bag though! I am fairly happy with mine. I found their shop to be out of stock in a lot of different sizes and styles, so I just got what was available in my size! By the way, that Zhan, the Zh you can pronounce a bit like a “J”, you can think of it a bit like the end sound in the English word “edge”.

@@stuntedmonk they are fine and very comfortable! I have only had them for about 4 or 5 months, so time will tell in the long run. So far I would definitely order from this brand again, for a budget brand (especially Chinese made) they have a variety of interesting fabrics.

I don't understand why you don't hot soak them before wearing to get all the shrinkage out. I always do 2 or 3 hot soak/hang dry cycles for any unsanforized jeans before I even put them on. I mean, horses for courses obviously, up to you. But I don't so much like the flatness of loomstate raw denim personally, much nicer once it has shrunk down because the weave tightens giving much better texture, imo. Plus, you can easily lose 3" in the leg after washing. So if you've put 2 years into getting nice fades, once you wash them the creases will all be in the wrong places! The fading behind the knees is called honeycomb, whiskers are in the front either side of the crotch ;)
@GET-PIECED-FISHY Жыл бұрын
I've owned loads of US/Jap raw selvage denim, e.g. brands like LVC, Edwin, Momotaro, Denime, Samurai etc. I have to say that I'm impressed with the quality of these: really nice dark indigo (though they bleed a lot initially), long staple cotton, nice hairy texture, slightly rough at first but softens beautifully. The stitching and rivets are all just as good as I would expect from pricier denim brands. And I like the classic slim straight cut, a slightly modern take on the classic 5 pocket jean we all know and love. Looking forward to seeing how they fade.
