Bronze Medal dance along with 12 Step, Werner Tango, and Collegiate. I passed the Bronze Medal test in November 1960 at Riverside Arena in Livonia, Michigan!

Thank you so much for posting this video and others. I would love to find John Renz who was nationals and world's about this time as well. He was the first roller skater to land a triple axel in competition.

yup ralph was mostly there in 82 83 late skate was a every sat thing those flee hop boys sucked me in slick and peanut my dad did a couple fill in's for ralph my dad still has his seeburg beat box great memories

@@cynthiarosiek4098 skated competively for 5 years. Married my partner. Qualified for nationals in intermediate dance. Truly miss it but my knees and back are pretty much shot. We had an organist at my first rink for about a year then everything changed.

@@donnaviestenz7773 I originally skated at Paramus, NJ (North Jersey). After college, I competed (dance/figures) out of Holiday Skating Center in Delanco, NJ (South Jersey) and served on the judge's panel in Deptford, NJ. No longer skating, but still enjoy watching.

I learned how to skate to Bill Clark playing the organ at Ringing Rocks Roller Rink, Pottstown, PA. Then I moved on to CC Skate Ranch when him and Chas Christman opened the new rink. Soooo many good memories. Met my husband at Ringing Rocks, and we got married there !

David Howard was my skating coach when I was younger in Virginia. We started out at Aragona skating rink then to Haygood, then to Kempsville. He made a champion roller skater out of me. Excellent coach. Lost touch with him many years ago. I would love to know what he is up to these days!!!

It is tragic for the Eastern Region which used to be a force to be reckoned with. Others region are bigger. But overall skating has really gotten smaller in numbers.

@@alkajaau Hello I have been watching your video and reminnising. I use to compete in the 60's in New Jersey. My pro at the time was Charles Wahlig. I am now 70 and thinking of getting the dust off the old skates and trying again. Half of these new dances I new heard of. I will be living up in Leesburg, FL and I know there is a rink there. Would love to ... and when you see Dawn again please hug her and tell her its from me .. we're friends. When I tore my hamstring in ABQ at Nationals she put her gold medal around my neck and told me I was a true champion and to keep it until next year as a way of guaranteeing my return!
