think im going to give this software a try ,think they call these motors with both axial and radial flux ,Transverse flux.So transverse flux with a Halbach magnet array this has got to be a interesting motor and not to hard to make id think just time consumingquestion is what controller would be required

actually some of the latest generation VESC based controllers should be able to run it but would need a rotary encoder or hall sensor array

Hi! Thank you for reaching out! You can use Field-Oriented Control (FOC) with a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for the transverse flux motor. This setup allows for smooth operation and precise control of torque and speed. You'll also need current sensors for phase current measurement, feedback mechanisms like encoders or Hall Effect sensors for rotor position sensing, and a suitable inverter to convert DC to three-phase AC voltage.

i am sure these motors will absolutely dominate as normal direct drive hub motors dont get as high rpms as we want as they try get that ballance of rpm and torque we may not even need magnets on the side covers either we could use something similar to car altinator how they bend the magnetic forcearound
