What is the melody he plays at 8:40? I've searched the songs mentioned here but can't find it - did he pay it in this version only?

Is there any way to get this audio without the high frequency feedback in the background? It's such a juxtaposition to the actual audio. :(

Ive watched this yet again, and ive had more life unfold. Shawns playing at 752 . Holy goodness. And wtf. To understand he played guitar free like this too. One in billion Shawn... you make us smile

Also, I've just noticed that this video was uploaded a day after his birthday.

I cleared up the audio (not perfect, but the high pitched noise is deafened drastically, I also equalized for clarity). I can send the file to you, or upload it to an alt account.

The song near the end might be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. And he plays it on guitar as well.

Whenever I start to feel that I am getting into a "whose the best guitarist" debate with someone doesn't doesn't prefer Mr. Lane, I then provide them with the link to this video. LOL

Good lord. I can only imagine the dumbstruck looks on everyone’s faces after this. I have it on my face watching this video in my house. Lane was one of a kind.

To get rid of the high pitched noise do a hard notch filter at about 7850 for the strong high pitch and about 15700 for the slightly weaker extremely high pitch. The low throbbing sound can't be gotten rid of so simply though

Does anyone have the full clinic of this? I know he goes on guitar and demonstrates a few things, really trying to find it.

Shawn was above being a guitar player or a technical wiz, of course he had unfathomable technique and knowledge but, most important, he really knew how to express emotion and passion to such a level that only the greats throughout history were able to achieve. The internet is packed nowadays with 15 year old kids who can blaze through complex chord changes with flawless skills BUT emotion, sensitivity, intensity etc are nowhere to be found, for the most part they all play as if it were another video game to master...Shawn was on a whole different level

limitless talent. that's the only way to describe Shawn. there was absolutely no ceiling to his talent. nothing he was incapable of musically. he was blessed with that but not with good physical health, just proving once again that you can't have it all.

Imagine meeting someone and thinking, “oh wow you’re a nice Piano player”. Then to learn that it’s not even the primary instrument. That as good as they are at the piano their way better at the guitar.
