I have to do one on my 88 Camry, boy these are expensive. It was hard to pin point exactly if it was the cold start injector or the timer sensor. Do you have to put anything on the threads to keep it from leaking coolant?

If u see the part where I talk about the socket size if u see in the front it should come with a gasket and that’s all you need it didn’t leak for me

Did u possibly bend the pipe a little too much? Because it was an easy fit as soon as we slipped in the pipe first then to the block make sure u wiggle it to its correct angle

Hey The Works, I have the exact same truck as you! I've been thinking about installing these headers too. You've had them for almost a year now, what are your thoughts? Are you still happy with them? Any problems? I'm in California so preserving the stock catalytic converter and muffler is a priority - gotta pass smog.

Same here I’m in Long Beach honestly it’s a great upgrade but ur not gunna feel the difference unless u up grade the full exhaust and the intake. But I pass smog

@@TheWorks95 Really appreciate your thoughts on this. I'm going to put one of those GFC campers on my truck (about 300lbs and a big hit in aerodynamics). I guess the way I'll approach it is to not make any exhaust or intake upgrades right now, rather I'll wait to see how it drives and then when it's time for major engine maintenance or other deep work I'll reconsider installing these manifolds. Thanks again.

@@TheWorks95 Noted. I'm trying to stay pretty close to stock but I do have 235/75 r15 wheels, a small body lift, etc. It's a 2WD truck. Main thing I'm focused on now is to beef up the rear suspension a bit so there's no sag. At some point I'm probably just going to need to accept the limitations of this little machine - I've had it for 13 years and it's always been enough.

It turns out LCE doesn’t make a long tube header for the 20R, so I had to go with their shorty header, which means it doesn’t just mount a 2 bolt flange at the bottom. Currently working on finding a shop to do full exhaust

Greetings, thank you for doing this. I have a rather old Downey headers on my 1986 4runner and it is starting to crack after almost 20 years. Was wanting to do the LCE headers but the only thing stopping me is the confusion about the o2 sensor in that it says I need a heated o2 sensor. My truck only has this one wire to the o2 sensor and I contacted LCE about it but they said to read their FAQ section and it just says I need to get a heated O2 sensor like I saw on your video. My problem is that I know where one wire goes onto the new o2 sensor but what about the other 2 of the 3 wires I noticed on yours. Where do the other wires go? Do I get connect it to a constant power source or ? Thank you again.

Out with old and hopefully in with the new, but not a new set of problems. I mean watch out for inferior aftermarket products. Toyota is well designed OEM to begin with. I made a huge mistake with garbage hedman headers for my 22re. I wish I would have got LCE header kit to begin with. Trust is a big issue with my originally owned 88'. sr5 4x4. I'm going back to the stock exhaust manifold setup.
