@@Tanzi42 Ah I see what you mean hahah fair enough, I explained it in detail on the first episode, how the mods work, why I'm using them, but yeah I'm running an AI mod to make them act more realistically and it's really good. The compas and the hit markers are there mainly because this is on KZbin, hitboxes let you know of I hit or miss it's nice instant feedback without editing and the compas is there so that I can only focus on the game and the commentary, I don't have to constantly look at my phone or another monitor to figure out where I'm going or what quest I need to do where. That's about the TLDR of it all ^^

You mean the compass? Part of a mod, game hud panel, it's there so I don't have to alt tab or look at my 2nd monitor to find out where im going for which task, makes the whole raid smoother for watching because im not crouching in a bush every few minutes figuring out where this or that task is. And the hitmarkers and xp text I just kind of like for the YT audience, it gives feedback on whether I've hid the enemy or not and if I hit the armor or not, I get that it's not immersive and feels a bit cheap, but at the same time I kind of like the visual feedback from a video perspective. Initially I wanted to install it just to check some hitboxes and how long-distance shots worked in the game because I had the feeling, I was supposed to hit some shots but didn't because of some bugs, and I was half right, sometimes the game's hitboxes aren't the most accurate and best and this mod let me see it, and I've kept it since.

SWAG Sain, donuts, questing bots, looting bots, some quality of life stuff, new traders scorpion and painter (I add them at one point in the series) also game hud panel for the compas and hitmarkers, more checkmarks to keep track of what I need items wise. Those are the main ones.

@@JuggernautSPQR thanks and ig ur using a graphics mod and like a recoil or camera mod?

@@peanut1120 For the graphics I'm just using the Amands's, no other camera mod and the recoil is just the base game recoil I'm pretty sure. Later on, I added brighter lasers and improved acogs and red dots, but that just makes the scopes a bit nicer and zeroed in a bit better.

So the compass is part of the mod called "Game Hud Panel" but I'm going to swap it out for interactive maps, it's less intrusive. The checkmarks are also a mod called MoreCheckmarks. All available for SP Tarkov, can't tell you how and where though BSG threatened to sue and take down video of people spreading the news around about singleplayer tarkov so I can just show the gameplay.

@@mtwdew visceral dismemberment and game panel HUD are the two mods you're looking for. I'm playing on 3.8.3 but they are available on the newest version too.I'm pretty sure. The hud I think is really great for KZbin because you get instant feedback on all shots hit, grenade kills and so on. Dismemberment is a bit over the top, unrealistic, but it creates a nice creepy atmosphere when you walk around and see dead pmcs and scavs, plus I prefer it unrealistic to literally nothing when you headshot someone with a 12-gauge I have a full let's play of all my raids on the channel you can check it out ^^

@@RavenKun84 I don't know about the crazy expensive ones but a regular Xbox controller (series X) is around the same price as the dual sense and performs better on PC. Especially if you get the receiver and don't run through Bluetooth, why they thought Bluetooth on pc is a good idea is beyond me :)

Yeah for defense it's awesome no doubt. In my experience I tend to be on the attacking side the vast majority of the time, but that could be especially powerful if you play as a republic or are roleplaying and don't want to just do the optimal thing when it comes ot taking land ^_^

@JuggernautSPQR it's worked out so far, same here and I think it's optimal maybe not in numbers and stats but so far from playing I've noticed they usually attack when Equal or greater and pikemen are hard to come by, my idea is to add that extra defence in the melee stage. Wait the defence values are for defending only or still apply when attacking? I think its the latter

@@misterseventyseven4122 It's been a while since I played but I think they're only for when you are on the defensive in the battle dice rolls, for attack you use attack pursuit, shock and so on. At least that's how I remember it being.

@@stuff4826 I don't play Tarkov with anyone, I'm doing a singleplayer run. Is this about the comment I mentioned I got in an SPT video? Tarkov generally appeals to an older audience, say 18+ due to it's tactical nature, punishing gameplay, complex gun mechanics and so on, relatively rare to find someone very young playing it.

@@stuff4826 Yeah I totally get what you're saying it is a one off thing, albeit a dedicated one off thing :D I see it as more of an example than a direct indication, I mean stuff like that's been happening since the dawn of the internet I'm not bothered by it, it just got me thinking a bit, I've seen similar comments on the spt reddit and other spt YT content, people will always be rude and obnoxious that's not the issue I just feel like generally in the collective west we're growing more entitled and angry, nervous, mad ar each other and so on, you can see it in the traffic, the local store and so on, not just online. @@JuggernautSPQR trying to figure out what to tell you thatll help you transition but in general, this is all normal: after defeating i think it was darius, alexander the great captured his family during their retreat. the guy pleaded that he let them go, but instead, a year later alexander wrote to him that his wife had just died during childbirth. weve always been capable of extreme shitery. secondly, dna imprints during stress, we occupy a tiny temporary niche in this planets development, so in the grander scheme of things, it just bad from our point of view. thirdly, stoicism! a huge topic which i break down into "if you cant influence it, dont think about it" youre not going to save the world, which we always think its about to end, but it never "is". everything is moving, changing, humans and probably all species create illusions of stability using their limited senses but reality is in flux. we see about 30% of reality on a good day, at about a 0.6sec delay. thats hardly an objective positiion to be in. next, this isnt the first time a population has had their futures stripped, frustrations teased and left out to dry. makes for great recruits and cannon folder. war is coming. its what we do, even during times of peace, were busy getting ready. and lastly, youre going to die someday. thats the hardest part of adulthood. when we accept that though, we stop needing "clues" like your conversation with that troll, and they dont effect us. what can hurt you if you already know youre dirt.

@@michaelfawcett7843 %appdata% and then go into the folder local, then roaming I think, but you don't need to do this anymore I think the game has an FOV slider now, it's been added in one of the updates.

I do as well, it's not just down to the ram usage other optimization things need to be done to the game, they said those are coming in the next big update, but the ram boost helps a bit especially if you use lots of mods.

@@FA-tq9ip True, however modern springs and magazines are much much higher quality than older mags, so you can keep a magazine loaded at all times and ready for self defense and it will last for years. Mind you this isn't the case with mags made say 20-30 years ago only the newer ones. My uncle is a cop and he kept his CZ mags loaded for like literally 20 years or so and they work, I keep my magpul mags loaded to 28-29 rounds for my AK. There's also experiments people did about this on YT and it's a common belief that you shouldn't keep mags loaded for the reasons you mentioned but it only goes for old springs which were made with lower quality materials. PS a way to make sure a mag lasts literally forever for self defense is to keep it loaded for a year, unload it and load a different one and use that and after a year switch back to the original. Rotate them like that and you let the spring contract and recover over time so it will outlast you and me both ^^

@@andreguerreirosantos there are, just not that many, depends on where you go. Theres an option in the mod settings for vegetation and you can pick how overgrown the world is. I turned it down a bit so it's less hectic and more visually clear for viewing

AFAIK - Java 32 Bit is allways limited to max 4GB by Windows...

@@stephankuebler762 actually I had to do more than just change the json files. I had to only change the minimum memory of the 64bat file as well. No maximum. Then only load the game via the 64bat file. I love this game but the devs expectation that people need to change Java and programming files to make it actually work is disappointing. Hopefully build 42 works better regarding this.

@@SmolFemboyShark well.. partially. Ram isn't the only problem I the game performance is also affected by other things, this provides a boost and gets rid of some stutter but it's not that massive. Hopefully the next update will let us do that they made some insane promises when it comes to optimization
