I’ve had Holdens my whole driving life and generally do the servicing myself. Never bothered replacing the pollen filters 🫢 Got a mint 2010 GTS these days and I’m servicing it atm so might finally have a go haha.

This was a really good video as it added tips to removing the trim around it and the old mesh screen. Without this I probably would have damaged the car a little by yanking on things.

For anyone struggling to remove the entire panel due to the lugs located along the back of it, I can confirm this method works and with the thicker Cabin Air Filters Australia filter, you may just have to massage the plastic panel slightly to get it past the base of the bonnet strut mount. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXrEkppmmd94esksi=T-WZLpkEKcYMizX3

2009/2010 CDX Diesel Holden Cruze. Need to remove 5 screws. The 5th screw is under the curved plastic cover on the left side of dash. Push from inside the fuse panel space. Remove the whole panel around the glove box. The other 4 screws are obvious 2 above and 2 below the glovebox with 7mm hex head. Cannot remove filter by lowering GloveBox unless plastic vertical webs were cut away.

I ordered a cabin filter for a VF Calais yesterday and buggar me it turned up at my door at 9 am this morning in Brisbane. I had been quoted over $200 to replace the cabin filter. The new filter cost $49.90 and over $12.00 of that was express postage. My car is a 2016 model and it had an origional mesh filter in it. The new filter is a far better filter. The video instructions for replacing the filter are excellent, however I did have a lot of trouble trying to remove the plastic cover by pushing up underneath as shown in the video and I almost gave up. I succeeded in releasing it by leavering it with a screwdriver where it joins in the middle with the plastic cover on the drivers side. Once I released it there I got it off no problem I cleaned everything thoroughly and it went back on very easily. I would definitely recommend this company their service is great.

whilst you are in there, clean out the fan with a blower, listen for tickinng (of an object). These models eventaully drop a wadding (from ????) into the fan from further up. This creates great noise and issues.

Do we wash these filters or throw them away ?

Installed a couple of these today. Awesome product and super easy to retrofit! Staggering how much crap ends up in the bottom of the evaporator core without a filter! HUGE improvement to AC performance after clean out and filter installation. About to click the link and order some more 👌

Your brackets at the back seem to not be connected to anything. I have 2 white Plastic Trim Panel Retainer Clip Fasteners at the back connected to the black covering. The clips and the plastic are very fragile. I already broke my Radiator Cowl so don't want to break anything else. cheers anyway mate.
