Hey HMD. Top ten is a homework assignment. 😅 I gave a quick listen to some that I thought had more punk leaning album art. Texas Toast Chainsaw massacre was fun. and Grave Danger for heavy metal was cool. It got me in the mood to listen to DRI so thanks. There's a big divide between late 60's funk, early 70's funk, and the later more boogie oriented stuff. Most want late 60's. I'd say Bobby Byrd, JB's, Archie Bell and the Drells, James Brown, Marva Whitney, Dyke and the Blazers, Isley Brothers early releases on T-Neck, and Little Royal would all fit that late 60's funk mold.
